The Fandom Museum- Saturday all day

It was a lovely day to check out a museum! Perhaps you wanted to see the beautiful aquarium? Or see the completely valid art that had been collected over the week? Maybe you wanted to learn about Fandom history, or dinosaurs (there was an overlap). Or there was always Blathers' absolute least favorite part, the butterfly room! So many free-flying winged insects!

And sure, Blathers might be asleep during the day, but he was more than willing to accept your donations!

This week had been Jaye's version of hell, but she'd also figured one thing out over this week.

Which meant she yelled, "HEY, OWL," and came prepared.

"Hoooooo- WHO?!" Blathers startled awake, shaking it off quickly. "Oh, pardon me. How can I help you today?"

"I want you to tell me about this thing," Jaye said, presenting a little caged bug.

"I'd be delighted," He said, right up until he saw what was in it. "My feathers! This is a saw stag! Do be careful! And do NOT release it from its cage! I shudder at the very thought."

But he was a professional. So.

"The saw stag got its name from the shape of its pincers. That is, its pincers look like jagged saws! And I tell you, the bigger the beetle, the more saw-like teeth its giant jaws have. I say the saw stag seems more at home in a horror film than in nature. I have terrified myself just talking about it."

He handed it back. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"Oh, yeah, I have another thing for you," she said, reaching into her pockets to pull out another bug.

Yeeeeep.

"Hoo! Dare I say, EWW! That is a paper kite butterfly!" Keep it together, Blathers, keep it together! "With its black-and-white striped wing pattern, the paper kite butterfly is both elegant and pretty... PRETTY POISONOUS I MEAN!"

That wasn't together.

"Hoo dear! Where was I? Oh yes. Even this butterfly's black-and-white striped larva and little golden pupae are toxic to predators. Indeed, the paper kite's butterfly's foul flavor is famous, and thus birds, in particular, steer clear of the fiends. THIS bird most of all! And that is all I have to say about that. Now, if you please put away your paper kite butterfly."

He was spent.

"Oh, wow, that was really informative," Jaye said, putting that away to pull out another one. "So I also caught a wasp..."

This was a revenge, of sorts.
