The Perk, Monday Morning

The bloody muzak was gone, and Lucifer had managed to coax a new Extreme Shake out of the Perk staff. He had no idea why they insisted on declaring the strawberry-forward concoction 'The Dante', beyond some terrible attempt at humor, but the amount of sugar in the drink quickly papered over what complaints he could raise about it.

Yes, Lucifer reflected, as he put large amounts of whipped cream in his mouth, this was much better than last week.

Time to keep this vibe going, clearly.

"No, I'm just returning to the way I used to live before this entire mess occurred," Lucifer said, rolling his eyes. "I don't need bloody detectives to enjoy myself."

"No, I like the detective-ing just fine, she can't take that from me," Lucifer said irritably.

Because it made him feel like he had some kind of purpose besides getting people off, but shush.

Lucifer, c'mon now. You are a hot mess.

"Alright, alright," Danny said, raising his hands in surrender. "I ask becauae I got compared to her quite a bit."

"Unfavorably."

This was going to wind up being a thing at this rate, Danny.

It might be, yes.

"I mean, a lot."

Now Danny was just winding him up a little. Somewhere, his nonna was rolling in her grave.

"Why am I talking to a sentient container of hair gel again?" Lucifer wondered.

"Okay," Danny laughed, backing off on that. You know. For now. "Enjoy your five year old's dream dessert."
