Fandom Trooper Station, Wednesday

Danny was blissfully unaware of the level of gross happening with the ridiculous class today. He'd find out eventually, but for now he was safe from it.

Safe and dealing with the troopers who were less than thrilled with the new workout schedule Steve was putting them through.

"Look, you just gotta distract him with a case." Or explosives. But Danny didn't want to deal with that, so he wasn't saying it.

Here came your favorite SEAL, Danno! Shirtless, dripping wet, and smelling like fish and bacon.

"I'm implementing a dress code for this place," Danny said, rolling his eyes at the usual level of McGarrett-ness.

Steve was lucky that, after last week, Danny had brought towels to live at the station.

"No shirt, no shoes, no service?" Steve said, laughing.

"Got it in one," Danny said, tossing a towel at him. "You reek, by the way."

"Well, today's event was very slippery," Steve said.

"Uh huh." THERE WAS A REASON HE AVOIDED THAT AREA.

Because Steve totally thought this was fun. "I'm going back later to figure out the trick to it. I didn't complete the mission the first attempt."

And you know how much that would bug him, Danny.

"You're also finding somewhere else to shower," Danny replied.

"If I'd won, there would have been free burgers for a week," Steve lamented.

"Burgers from where?" This was important, Steve.

"Some place called Mooby's?" Steve said.

[hatesparadise]

"Pass." They could get better burgers elsewhere. Not that it would stymie Steve's insane competitive nature.

"I wasn't doing it for the burgers, though," Steve said. "I was doing it for the challenge."

"The challenge of acting like a drunk monkey?"

[grenadesandohana]

"Oh, there's no way a drunk monkey could've made it all the way across," Steve said, settling his wet, gross butt on Danny's desk as had become traditional on Wednesdays.

"I gave you a towel for a reason, Steven!" Danny was so precious in thinking he could berate some manners into him.

"I thought it was for my hair," Steve said.

[hatesparadise]

"Your hair. You thought it was for your hair."

[grenadesandohana]

"I'm very concerned about my hair!"

Which he washed with bar soap.

"You are not. You don't even use shampoo!"

"The soap's right there!" Steve protested. "Why do I need two?"

"Soap is for the body! Not the hair!"

This is why you start going grey, Steve.

"Where does it say that?" Steve demanded.

THE NARRATIVE SAID WHAT IT SAID.

"It's common sense," Danny replied, trying to force Steve off his desk with a pen to the side. "Which I forgot that you lack entirely."

"I've got plenty of common sense," Steve protested, shoving over obediently.
