Shunsui hadn't slept very well last night at all, which for him...a man who very occasionally would sleep in the middle of an active battlefield to make it more convincing that he was unconcious and therefor clearly couldn't fight...was a little...troubling. It didn't help that part of it was due to these vague glimpses of Jūshirō, here and there. Had he taken a turn for the worse? Was something happening back in the Soul Society again? He almost wondered if he should go home and check, but that ran the risk of being sucked into whatever might be happening, and...uggghhh....

And Katen weeping. Kyōkotsu just staring with that one cold, unforgiving blue eye....

If something was going on back home, it would probably be big, and therefor not anything Shunsui wanted to deal with. Though wanting to deal with it was never of any consequence.

It left his feeling disconnected and concerned, but trying not to think about it, hoping the usual naps at T&C that day would help. But, of course, Apu-san was going on and on about something, having to do with curbs and complaining about Summer-chan, to the point where a very actually sleepy Shunsui just lifted a hand to quiet him down before asking, "Is there anything about this that involves me actually doing anything, Apu-san?"

And when the answer was no, not really, Shunsui breathed out a grateful sigh and said, "Then I don't care. Do whatever you want."

So curb-side pick-up was back on the menu, boys!
