Astrid came into the store that day expecting some sort of calm before the storm, but it seemed the storm had already arrived, as Apu was hurrying around trying to reorganize for the new school year and the (likely) new arrivals for the semester, which didn't really seem like as big of a deal as he was making it out to be. Still, Astrid offered to help, which he unsurprisingly refused, and then just eventually shoved a list of signs that needed making since that was apparently 'all she was good for.'

Which was a little harsh, but, as she realized that she pretty much did spend most of her shifts drawing and trying to peddle her postcards, was probably not entirely untruthful, either.
