Thursday Afternoon - Warehouse district
After class, Miles went back to his room and packed up some of his supplies and headed off into town. Part of it was to just get a feel for this town and learn where everything was. The more important part was to find a place where he could claim some wall space and just put up some art.
Coming from Brooklyn to a small town was a very weird experience. No tall buildings. Rickshaws instead of cars. No one rushing around and avoiding eye contact. For a guy who barely set foot out of Brooklyn, this might as well be an alien world.
It wasn't until he got to the warehouse area that he started to feel any kind of familiarity. It was pretty clear this area had a lot of use. He saw paint up on various buildings, some buildings were locked and there was one building with a lot of wood chucks inside. (Which really chucked wood. Miles thought that was just an expression.) It took a bit but he finally found one that was abandoned with no art work on it. Shrugging off his pack he pulled out his spray paint and went to work on something that reminded him of home
Hopefully the troopers weren't going to bust him for doing graffiti.

Sabine had a whole fireworks thing to finish by tomorrow. There was so much time in her warehouse this week.

But she was standing here in painted armor and mermaid hair so of course she'd say that.

Seriously, the room was ridiculous and great.

He gestured to some of the other warehouses around that had artwork. "Are any of these your work?"

Except when they all turned into toys. That had hit on issues she was not trying to revisit.

“Well some of them aren’t exactly human. Some were mutated by something I suppose. But I’ve only seen them on the news occasionally.”

Bright side!

Yes, that's what she took from that.

Miles chuckled. "Yeah. She's actually pretty nice. Though I think she's more used to some of the more interesting facets of Fandom than I would be. She's from another planet."
He frowned a little. "Then again I guess just a normal earth would be pretty weird for her as well."

At least he could call home.
