Parents Weekend Meet & Greet, Friday Afternoon

It was a perfectly lovely, crisp, autumn afternoon in Fandom. The birds were chirping, the leaves were falling in a photogenic way, and the woodchucks and been herded well away from the park because chucking wood at visitors would be...not ideal.

The town was bright, cheerful, and clean thanks to the efforts of Wednesday's assembly, and the glitter was almost in manageable amounts (meaning it hadn't gotten into the moddable snacks yet, but it couldn't last forever)!

The glittery banner hung over the entrance to the park, drawing in all newcomers:

"No it isn't," Julius said, and there was a part of him that was delighted when Bob's head whipped around to stare at him with hard green eyes.

He pointed to the Causeway. "It's just across that bridge," he said. "I cross and end up in the DFZ. Uh, right at the Underpass."

Secretly delighted or not, Julius still sounded apologetic for contradicting Bob's answer.

That... was not what Nina got when she crossed the causeway, no.

“We could test it out,” she observed.

She didn’t add ‘and see who is right’ but that was part of it too.

"No need," Bob said, still looking at Julius steadily, though it was now contemplation, rather than a glare. "If Julius says it is the DFZ, I believe him."

His eyes flicked to her again. "Perhaps you should accompany him sometime," he suggested. "Just to see what it's like. It might be good for you to have an idea of the layout of the city." His lips twitched. "Such as anyone can have, I suppose."

Julius was not appreciating his brother's attempt at playing wingman...or whatever this was.

"Or...we could not go," he suggested. "Weren't we just talking about the bounty? I'm really not a fan of dying."
