Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey ran through the obstacle course today- still with some difficulty, though she didn't end up in quicksand- and didn't get a single thing thrown at her.

Which, she realized when she finished, was suspicious.

As far as she could tell, the woodchucks were there, if very quiet and normal, and she didn't trust it at all.

Anakin was definitely not having his class in here why would you think that arrived exactly on time. "Hello, Rey."

"Hi," she said. "No one's misbehaving today."

Weird, right?

"I have a bad feeling about that," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Oh, don't say that," Rey said, frowning. "Maybe they're just tired."

Maybe?

"Now you've made me wonder what they've been up to," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"You could always ask them. I'm sure there'd be forthcoming."

No.

[sith_happened]

"They're secretly very chatty?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"No. But if they were working on something they'd probably throw it somewhere," Rey shrugged.

[sith_happened]

"That's an excellent point," Anakin said. "How has your week been?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Busy," she said. "Apparently I'm going on the trip next week."

[sith_happened]

Anakin grinned. "No climbing."

[thatwaslucky]

"You know I can handle a fall now," Rey pointed out.

She was gonna climb so many things.

Anakin sighed. "Don't let me catch you climbing."

[thatwaslucky]

"You won't," she promised. "I suppose I should probably be more mature than the students."

By not getting caught climbing so many things.

"That would be nice," Anakin agreed, grinning.

[thatwaslucky]

"So what do you think, do we take the week off next week?" Rey asked. "Or do we find time to try this around chaperone duties?"

Summer also had not told Rey exactly what this trip was, so that was gonna be a fun surprise.

"Let's try to meet up anyway," Anakin said. "We can adapt to our environment."

"Sounds good," she said with a nod. "And I'm sure you know at least some of the schedule."

Anakin nodded. "We worked with Portalocity for what should be a fun trip."

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm looking forward to it," she admitted. "I haven't actually been somewhere for fun since China."

And this year wouldn't have been as weird as last year, since most of her friends actually weren't going on the trip, but still.

"A garbage planet isn't fun?" Anakin teased.

[thatwaslucky]

"Amazingly, no," Rey smiled. "And I've been some amazing places, but just to work."

[sith_happened]

"Well, this should be fun," Anakin said. "I'm not quite sure how I'm going to break it to Juliet and Christopher that they can't come."

"Do they usually come to these?" Rey wondered.

[sith_happened]

"Not since they started school," Anakin said, "but we don't normally go to amusement parks, either."

[thatwaslucky]

Rey had no idea what amusement parks had to do with anything, but okay.

"I guess having to go to school while your father goes on vacation does have to be rough," she agreed.

Anakin nodded. "Though they thought China sounded very boring."

[thatwaslucky]

"No, China was amazing," Rey said, pretty sure she'd have said that as a kid, too.

[sith_happened]

"I'm glad you thought so," Anakin said, grinning.

[thatwaslucky]

"Worth climbing a wall for."

Well it was.

Anakin laughed. "I'd still yell."
