Outside JGoB, Sunday Afternoon
This place smelled amazing. Octavia had to get in there. In fact, she'd already tried just sauntering in on her tiny raccoon feet, but had been rudely rebuffed and escorted back outside. With a broom.
She could tell, though, that the humans coming out of the place - with no interaction with a broom - were first going in with little shiny things in their hands. Shiny thing went in, the good-smelling things came out.
So, she was very meticulously, one by one, bringing a small pile of shiny things right outside the bakery. Loose change, candy wrappers, random little screws from the junkyard. They were great shiny things! She should get the delicious things in return!
So far, it did not seem to be working.
[ooc: Yes I am trying to play at least a little bit. Open!]

"There you are," he said, heading over at a half-jog. "The hell are you hoarding now?"

Regardless, that was what Octavia dropped onto the pile before looking up at Duke and chittering inquisitively. (Maybe. She was a raccoon, after all.)

"You are going to get us fined for littering."

Octavia nudged them all a little closer together, then looked up towards the door.

Octavia made some noises at him, then nudged at his hand with her nose.

As if making it look bigger would be the key to the nice-smelling things.

"At least you seem to be enjoying yourself."

Octavia used her small raccoon hands to pick up one of the candy wrappers - very shiny, and it made a crinkly sound - and held it out towards him. Maybe he could make it turn into the delicious things...?

He would not at all be surprised to learn she preferred to be an animal. He was pretty sure he would, too.
no subject
Because he would have to go in, see.

So of course the raccoon stood between him and pastries.
"Miss Raccoontavia," he said, pained.

Did he have shiny things? Because clearly her pile needed to be bigger.

So she also moved, to continue blocking his way.

She'd worked hard for those shiny things!
no subject
Maybe if he circled her in the opposite direction?
no subject
She was just going to move the other way, too. Sorry, Luce.

Octavia settled protectively in front of her pile and made warning noises at him.
no subject
Ah, screw it. He advanced on the rat.
... carefully.
no subject
Just in case.
