Summer was clearly a fan of the stockings that were hung up over a section of the bar this week, of course she would be, one of them had her name on it, which was a super adorable touch, even if Tino was starting to get unreasonably annoyed with her for checking the inside of hers every hour or so to see if there was anything inside.

"Like, hello," she said in her defense, "it's Fandom, and obviously the bar has been getting into the holiday spirit early, you're seriously going to stand there and tell me there's not eventually going to be random treats in there at some point? I just don't want to miss them."

Tino said he hoped she found nothing but coal in hers.

Summer retorted that she hoped he found a gremlin in his.

Just be warned, the band has definitely started playing "All I Want For Christmas is You" every tenth song by now, and it's only going to get worse as they get into December.

Come get your drink on and be charmed by the clearly very loving banter between your bartenders.

Enjoy it before it inevitably gets taken over by a giant ass Christmas tree or something....

This week's jello shot is dedicated to the customer who literally only ordered 8 pounds of frozen coconut shrimp and one container of shredded cheese, AND THAT WAS IT. THAT WAS THE WHOLE ORDER.

Bless you, mysterious shrimp customer who I'm 99% sure was actually just Eleanor Shellstrop.

If Lucifer had known Octavia would be back on the island today, he... probably wouldn't have been here, sorry, Summer. But he didn't, and so he wandered back in with a grin carefully plastered over his face.

Since it was the only kind of plastered he could get.

"Isn't it still November?" he asked.

"Coconut shrimp," Jesse said slowly as she leaned on the bar to look at the specials board. "Really?"

Well, wasn't it just her lucky day, then?

"Yup!" Summer confirmed cheerfully. "So this," she gestured toward the lights that had been there since last week and the stockings that were added to the whole aesthetic this week, "shouldn't get old by December at all! Honestly, though, my tolerance for this kind of thing is pretty strong. I'm happy as long as I don't have to deal with any exploding giant homeless Santa Clauses."

Like it was a normal part of most people's holiday celebrations.

"So what'll it be tonight, Mr. Morningstar?"

"That's what does it for you, huh?" asked Summer, with a grin as she set down Jesse's nice generic beer, leaning on the bar a little as she followed the other redhead's eyes toward the board. "That's the bridge too far?"

There wasn't even any mayo in this one, Jess!

"One of your shots sounds monstrous," Lucifer noted, looking at the board. "I'll have two of both."

He eyed her. "Exploding Santa Clauses...?"

"I guess what gets me is the cheese blend," Jesse admitted. "It's off, like... seeing a painting on the wall that's just slightly crooked..."

Looking absolutely delighted over the fact that not only was he choosing to double-double-fist them but also that she was going to take monstrous as a badge of pride, especially considering the source, Summer happily set the quartet of shot down in front of Lucifer with no small amount of flair.

And then got into exploding Santas.

"Yeahhhhh," she said, with maybe some small hesitation, "there was a whole thing about this amusement park my grampa made inside of this homeless guy wearing a Santa hat and nothing else, and I'm not really clear on all the exact steps of logic here because I was dealing with some of my own shit at the time, but long story short, he ended up giant and in orbit and causing a nationwide panic over a 'naked sky Santa' until..." She made a small exploding sound with flaring fingers to accompany it. "No white Christmas that year, we got red instead."

Hey. He asked.

When she put it like that, Summer could maybe see why it might cause a twitch or two for Jesse, and she grinned a little. "I feel like some sort of dairy element has been the ultimate key to ensuring that a jello shot inspires the right amount of off-kilter disgust in general."

Then she flashed Jesse a scheming grin.

"You wanna try it, right?"

A long shot, but that never stopped her before!

Lucifer eyed her while she got into the exploding Santas, but he also had shots, and well, he went for the shrimp ones first - they were disgusting - before washing them down with the other two, nodding seriously the entire time.

"Well, we know where your grampa is going, then," he said, and added, "those shrimp shots may be a crime."

"No," Jesse said, and brought up her beer to her mouth instead. "No, that sounds like a really bad idea," she added, as she set down the beer, "and shrimp girl is going to drink all of them, isn't she?"

"Yeah, no, my dimension's version of you wants absolutely nothing to do with him anymore," said Summer, a bit awkwardly, since, you know, that whole thing had culminated into basically them 'roiding out and beating the living shit out of him for all the world to see, something Summer had definitely thought about almost fondly more than once in her short time of knowing Lucifer, but she was going to just smooth that over with a cocky grin and a drawl to match.

"And what? You going to report me to the cops? I'm sure they'd love to have something to do around here that doesn't involve raccoons. Or do you think it needs to go higher up Am I violating the Geneva Convention, you think?"

"Oh," said Summer with the utmost confidence, "totally. I'd be disappointed if she didn't, although I will say, that's when I know I've really made it, when Eleanor comes in here one day, give that specials board the same sort of look you just did now and just gives a firm, resounding 'No.'"

Summer liked to think she could actually achieve that pretty easily, actually, so, despite the wistful, longing sigh she gave, she knew like the validation that went along with Eleanor's strange approval too much to just throw it away like that.

"Oh, I'm no snitch," Lucifer told her, "And I'll have another one of those bourbon ones, thank you."

"Do you think that's likely?" Jesse asked her, tilting her head. "I mean, you'd have to go pretty far..."

"I love how Christmassy it is in here already," Annie decided as she took her seat, just going right ahead and taking a side in the Is It Too Early For Christmas Decorations? War. "Oh my gosh, Summer, one of those stockings has your name on it!"

Summer was not at all surprised that this was the side Annie would have chosen in this particular fray.

And she was so glad someone just got how thrilling the whole stocking thing was.

"I knoooow, right?" she gushed. "There's one for all of us who work here! Isn't that just, like, the cutest thing ever?"

Cuter if there was stuff in it! But it was still...you know...November.

Summer's eyes shifted a little to the specials board again, as if envisioning exactly what accomplishing this might really entail.

"Not gonna lie," she said, "it'll probably be a pretty dark day for all humanity when we get there, but..."

Her confidence took on a slightly different flavor as her expression turned to Jesse, now a bit wry. "Anything's possible."

Summer glowed slightly with the satisfaction of shots clearly well made, albeit on completely different sides of the spectrum, as she brought Lucifer another, and launched into the whole good old classic, "So how's your week been? Should I mention ponies, or are we definitely at a point now where asking would be beating a dead horse?"

"Don't push yourself too hard to get there," Jesse said wryly, sipping her beer. "I don't really want to know what you'd need to put into a shot for that." Haggis? "... oh god, I just thought the word 'haggis'."

"Oh, I enjoyed that pun," Lucifer said, grinning. "I wasn't a pony, mind you, I just helped Duke clop his way out of his own bedroom."

He took the shot.

"It was a rather nice distraction from the aftermath of miss Octavia's deraccoonification."

Santa's elves were still working on the stuff for your stocking, Summer! Obviously!

"It's adorable," Annie declared. "I like how there's something new every time I come in. Also digging the Mariah." Because of course she liked that song. Of course she did. "And before you ask, I would like to try the shot without shrimp, please."

Just to get out ahead of that.
