Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey had no idea if Anakin was showing up today, but it looked like regular training was on hold due to him being that young. So she headed to the warehouse like normal, where she set up some remotes, turned up the difficulty, and got to work on deflecting the bolts.

And then once she was done here she could totally start finding people to see what age they were because this was fantastic.

Liam had handwavily spent most of yesterday exploring the island, and today was a continuation of that. One where he was apparently poking his nose into several of the so-called abandoned warehouses.

Which seemed to be... not so abandoned, really, he noted, as he opened the door to one only to find someone using some sort of weapon to deflect energy bolts being emitted by small, hovering devices?

She didn't seem to be in distress, so he was just going to stand off to the side and watch, because this was, much like just about everything, very new.

Rey let him watch for a couple minutes, finally greeting him with, "Hi there."

Liam's eyes widened as he realized, oh, she was talking to him.

He gave her a shy half-smile in response, and then after a pause that was maybe just this side of awkward, remembered to add actual words (or, well. Word.) to that:

"Hi."

"I'll be just a minute," she told him, since the remote was starting to fire more and that was a terrible time to break.

Liam just lifted one shoulder in a bit of a shrug. He was the one intruding here after all.

When she got a chance to stop without getting shot, Rey switched the remote off with the Force and let it drop.

"What's up?" she said, switching off the lightsaber.

“Nothing,” he said. “Just-“ he paused, trying to find the right word. “Curious,” he settled on.

Even if Rey hadn't had a feeling about who that was, she definitely knew now.

"Want to look around?"

Was he that predictable?

Yeah. You bet.

He nodded, a spark of excitement crossing his expression for just a moment there.

"You can check out anything you want," Rey told him. "The obstacle course is... tricky, but it's fun to look at."

Liam nodded, drawn towards the course in question.

"I've been here before," he realized.

When he was smaller. Which he wasn't supposed to have been, just like he shouldn't be this apparent age now.

"It probably looks a little different," Rey said.

It looked more insane now.

"More difficult," Liam agreed with a nod.

After a quick jaunt to the moon (as one does), Anakin was out looking for trouble.

Adventure! Adventure!

"Woah!" he said, staring at the warehouse. "This is wizard!"

"...Wizard?" Rey repeated, amused even as she took a bolt to the thigh.

"It's slang," Anakin said. "Lots of people say it!"

They did not.

"I don't hang around a lot of people," Rey said, though at least now that was kind of a lie. "I'm guessing that's good?"

Anakin nodded. "This place is really good."

[thatwaslucky]

"Makes sense you would like it," Rey smiled, stopping the remote.

"Why?" Anakin asked curiously. "Is this whole place designed for lightsaber training?

He was so, so jealous.

[thatwaslucky]

"More or less, yeah," Rey nodded. "Mostly it was designed as a warehouse..."

The rest came later.

"Wow," Anakin said, craning his neck to look around. "Is that quicksand?"

"It's definitely quicksand," Rey confirmed with a nod. "There are weather controls, too."

"Ooooh."

Anakin was wildly jealous.

"Can I try it out?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Sure," she said. "It's tough."

That warning would not stop him and she knew it.
