Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

It'd been a week. Last week Anakin had been a teenager, then she'd spent part of the week away with a surprise Kylo Ren thing at the end there, and Rey should definitely be training today. There were definitely things that should be talked about today.

But at least for the moment she was sitting on a crate and googling what the hell she was supposed to do with multiple inflatable reindeer that had been delivered to her apartment this morning.

Yeah Silver had noticed all of the deliveries. There was enough that he braved the cold (it wasn't even that cold) to visit Rey at her warehouse and ask about it.

"Were you aware that there is a massive amount of boxes outside your apartment?"

"Oh no. Is there more?" Rey asked, Very Concerned now because how many lights had Annie bought?

"You mean there's been multiple deliveries?" he asked. "What is going on?"

"Well," she said, half-sighing, "Annie asked to use my apartment for a party next week, and it's... apparently getting different than I anticipated."

Meaning it was getting more amazing.

"I thought all that was required of a party was alcohol." Unless all those boxes were filled with alcohol. That'd be a hell of a party.

"There is that," Rey said. "From the sounds of it, there will be Jello shots that need a spotlight, and punch, and I currently have two kegs at my place. And at least eight uninflated reindeer."

The reindeer were non-alcoholic.

"And how many people are invited to this thing?" he asked. Because that was a lot.

Rey was so afraid of the answer she had to give here: "I don't know."

Ohhh that didn't sound good. She had no idea what she had gotten herself into, did she?

"Well. If your apartment gets totally destroyed at least you can stay with me."

She probably would not understand the depth of what she'd gotten herself into until at least a couple shots in, no.

"Have I told you how much I appreciate you?" she only half-teased.

"Once or twice, but I like hearing it all the same," he joked. "Am I invited to this party?"

"You are absolutely invited," Rey said, smiling. "Doubly so if I need you to rescue me."

"Are you worried the inflatable reindeer will come to life and attack?" Which was always a possibility here.

Anakin arrived at his usual time lol and frowned at the crate. "New obstacles?"

"Kind of," Rey said, misunderstanding and looking up from her phone. "What would you do with at least eight inflatable reindeer?"

"Are they chasing me?"

Anakin.

"No, I guess they're supposed to stay still in an apartment," she said, frowning.

"Huh," Anakin said, frowning. "Put them in place where you can see if they start sneaking up on you?"

It's possible a decade in Fandom had made him needlessly paranoid about Christmas decorations.

"You're not the first person today to bring up the idea of them coming to life and I'm getting concerned," Rey said.

"It gets weird here towards finals," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"Well the weird has to wait until after Friday or my apartment is going to become horrific," Rey said, and you better be listening, island.

"What's on Friday?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"We are throwing a party, which means Annie is throwing one at my apartment and I have been receiving questionable packages nonstop," she explained.

"Why can't Annie use her own apartment?" Anakin wondered.

[thatwaslucky]

"My apartment is ridiculously large," Rey said, and realized, "That reasoning really should have been my first clue..."
