After giving herself a break all weekend, Annie had thrown herself into her training today, adding in some extra miles and doing a few (dozen) extra sit-ups to compensate for taking the last two days off. And for the entire party. Just, like, all of it. 

It'd been fun, though. And Annie was far enough removed from her hangover by now to also decide it had been worth it.

However, that didn't mean she was ready to really face alcohol yet, which was kind of a bummer since she was a bartender. Inspired by Summer and her gorgeous jello shots, Annie was trying her hand at making a festive drink with her blender, and was actually pretty proud of how her White Christmas Margaritas had turned out. 

She took an experimental sip of one, then set it aside and immediately reached for the Diet Coke she'd been nursing all night. "Nope. Not ready yet. Super not ready for that." 

Still worth it.

"Bourbon," Jessica requested/greeted as she sat down at the bar.

Then remembering the state she last saw Annie in...

"You fully recover yet?"

"I will probably never really recover," Annie told her with a sigh, pouring out the bourbon and setting it before Jessica. "But I didn't lie on my couch watching Hallmark movies today, so I think that's an improvement."

No regrets, though. Hallmark movies were great.

"Hell of a party, though, right?"

Jessica smirked over the lip of her glass. "Yeah. You guys fucking smashed it," she replied. "Never forgiving you for the hat."

She finished her drink in about two gulps and put the empty glass back in front of Annie.

"Never heard of hallmark movies curing a hangover," she joked. "That better than gatorade?"

"You are the second person to tell me I should've done Gatorade. I'm super new to that...level of hangover," Annie sighed. "The Hallmark movies soothed my soul and helped me remember how much I like Christmas, at least!"

"Well, I'm a professional. But don't lose your amateur status or you won't be able to go to the olympics," Jessica joked. "And... yeah. Christmas. I guess if the gremlin carolers weren't enough of a reminder I should probably buy a couple of people something."

"I already did all my shopping!" And requesting of Barry-favors. "There's less than three weeks now, Jessica."

The countdown was real!

Jessica did her best and did not sigh at you Annie. No. She did not sigh at all.

"You'd like my sister," She said motioning for a refill. "She starts her shopping at the beginning of November and has everything wrapped up by Thanksgiving. For like... everyone. Even the plumber she had to her place two years ago."

That drink sounded like something for a Jimmy Buffet themed Christmas party.

"Still alive, huh?" Oh, the young. Willing to deal with hangovers still.

"Only just," Annie told him with a little wink. "I was so disappointed you didn't do a keg stand!"

Because he should have! She had and Steve and Diego both had! Obviously it had been a good idea!

"As I value my safety, I'll have to pass on giving that a try," Danny replied. "That's really more my idiot nephew's purview than mine."

"It was my first time doing one and I survived," Annie said, like she wouldn't have been fine even if she'd fallen. "Beer, I'm guessing?"

The Jimmy Buffett drinks were good if you didn't have a recent, self-inflicted aversion to tequila.

"I am the best at pouring," she assured him, grabbing a glass and putting it under the tap. "Though admittedly it's gonna be awhile before tequila and I can be friends ago. Or before I can eat jello."

She'd bounce back, though.

Danny snorted at that and shook his head. "I am very glad to have abstained then. Seeing how it knocked out our resident superhero."

Jessica raised her glass at Danny from where she was sitting. "Officer," she said in greeting along with a nod of acknowledgement.
