Lucifer was in a bit of an ironic mood today, as anyone who walked in could immediately hear. Why not do instrumental covers of religion-adjacent songs all night?

"They did let me teach," he allowed, "Which was horrifying."

"Fancy this -- I had to teach them about being a con artist, and that was the tamer class. No idea what the school board was thinking, that's for sure."

"Lucy, they made me teach the wee bastards sex ed. With Dee -- Death of the fucking Endless -- as my co-teacher. Those have to be amazing drugs to make that decision."

"One, did I mention they paid me?" Because look, exorcism didn't exactly pay well. "Two... have you ever met Dee? It is impossible to say no to her."

"I don't know who Dee is," Lucifer said, rolling his eyes. "Unless you mean Azrael, but I can't picture her taking a shine to you."

"Nah, that's her sibling's realm, and I try not to pull Desire's attention any more than any other mortal. Having three of the seven have my number is terrifying enough, I don't need more of them paying attention," John drawled.

"Huh. You really haven't encountered any of the Endless. I'm not sure if that's reassuring or horrifying."
