Devil's Nest, Saturday Night
Things were quiet as Allie made her way to the Devil's Nest. Tiny had a glass of cheap tequila and was muttering quietly about evil reindeer. Knowing how these things worked, Allie could only assume Team White Hat had saved the day while she was sleeping. Sometimes being a creature of the night has its drawbacks.
The bar was open and the bartender was disappointed.

It had taken several hours before she'd been confident enough that things had settled down outside before she'd ventured out, and of course she was going to go to the bar. Of course.
"Glad to see you're in one piece," she greeted Allie as she stuck her gun back in its holster and took a seat at the bar, actually even kind of begrudgingly meaning it. She had no idea what the hell had been going on for the last week, but at least the bar was still standing, too.

It messed up her hair, to start with. And she usually got her hands dirty.

Yeah, no, she'd hauled in the blanket and pillow she'd stashed on the Red Tail and had been sleeping on the floor all week. Faye was kind of just glad she had a fridge to chill her vodka, this week, at the rate things had been going.

Faye was incorrect both about IKEA furniture and about what lumberjacks actually did, all at the same time. It took talent to be that uninformed about basic things!

"You get what you pay for. If you want to pay more, you can get it assembled, but I like a challenge."
She wasn't going to mention that it took her three days to assemble her simple bed frame. Stupid pictograph instructions.

(It would be very hard. Even Faye knew she couldn't just walk out with a bedframe in her purse.)
"Though putting it together sounds kind of fun. I bet I could find a guy to do it for me," she decided airily, as though hot, willing furniture-assembling dudes were just roaming IKEA and waiting for some high-maintenance girl to select them for service.

Faye was not what one would call 'shy.'
"This whole place is full of hotties," she added, gesturing broadly. "Like that's kind of the best thing about the island, if you ask me." Not that she'd taken advantage of it beyond looking, but for real. It was a good place to people-watch.

"This island is full of beautiful people. Which is both nice and also really annoying when the island gets everyone hot and bothered."

Always an opportunist, this one.

She needed to buy a calendar, just to keep track of important things like this.

She kind of just accepted that, now, having dealt with the candy canes and assorted nonsense while just trying to live her damn life all week.
