The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

Octavia had missed her last two shifts because of the trip over the holidays, but that seemed to matter to the club about as little as it had to her. Tiny hadn't said anything about it, he'd just handed her some book on mixing drinks when she'd come in.

And now she was leafing through it behind the bar, occasionally looking around the shelves for the things listed for a given drink.

The club was quiet, save for the obvious, mellow soundtrack of whatever was on the piano bar playlist for tonight.

Octavia gestured towards the lately largely abandoned DJ booth.

Lucifer was definitely not going to approve of what came out of the speakers shortly afterward.

But Lucifer wasn't here to judge right now.

There was just Octavia, faintly raising her eyebrows at the severe change of atmosphere that seemed to cause for this entire space.

Dante wandered up to the bar with a massive grin on his face. "Told you I'd bring the loud stuff," he said.

"Yeah, seems like you have," Octavia replied with her typical dry drawl. Hard to say what she thought about it. "You want a drink to go with it?"

This was not a fight to pick with Dante. Ask anyone who knew and loved him. "Aw, please, it's great shit," he said. "I got like, three bottles back home for a rainy day."

Good thing no one was picking a fight, then!

Because once Octavia found the bottle, somewhere in the middle of all the other vodka of random flavors, she poured him his drink and slid it over. Simple as that.

... Now there was a memory she would say she didn't even know she had, a moment ago.

Octavia's tone got a little more dry. "Not since I've been back." Though they'd made quite a noise when she'd kicked them over in a fit of rage. "They're down in the hold of my snogon's ship."

And with that, he turned his attention to his drink.
