Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

You know one thing Rey loved and didn't get nearly enough time with? The rock wall on the training course. It was toward the end, so something that she didn't get to as often if she screwed up before then, and if someone came in she typically ended up skipping it.

So once she got here, she ran the course, and then was spending some time working muscles that didn't get used as much these days on the wall. Making your own fun was really one of the benefits of showing up early.

Silver--down one crutch but up one heavy coat--showed up in the early afternoon to visit Rey. He was still walking a little stiffly with the new leg but at least he had gotten the balance thing down.

"That looks exhausting."

He looked up at the wall and came to the conclusion that was something he would not be trying, even with two legs.

"The good kind," she said, glancing down at him before pulling herself up a little more. "I'll be down in a minute."

"Take your time. The view is actually pretty nice from down here," he teased.

"It's unfair to flirt with me right now," she called.

It was not.

Silver smiled. "Oh I know you are far too talented to be thrown off by a little flirting."

"Hello up there," Anakin said, sounding amused.

"You're making it sound like a challenge," Rey laughed.

[thatwaslucky]

"Hi," she said, looking down. "I started a little backwards today."

"I'm merely confident in your skill," Silver said. "That would be a challenge I'd hate to win anyway."

"No. You really wouldn't."

But when she reached the top, her feet firmly on the wall and a good grip with her right hand, she did let go with her left so she could turn a little and wave at him.

Totally showing off.

Silver smiled and waved back at her. "See? Talented."

"Thank you," she smiled, and let go with her other hand, using the Force to cushion her landing because that would be a dumb way to break both ankles.

That wasn't showing off, that was her needing actual practice at that.

"Hi."

Even if she wasn't showing off, Silver was duly impressed.

"Hi," he said, leaning in for a kiss. "I'm not interrupting, am I?"

"You're not," she assured him, kissing him back. "That was just for fun."

"You and I have some different ideas of fun," Silver said. Then he smiled. "Well, mostly."

Rey slipped her arms around him, because there wasn't a crutch to mind and she could, and said, "Climbing to nowhere doesn't do it for you?"

"It was never my thing," he said, putting his arms around her waist. Yes, it was nice not to have to deal with the crutch right now. "I didn't even like climbing the ropes on the ship when I had to."

Which was rare even before the leg because he wasn't that competent of a sailor.

"It is definitely more sensible on the ground," Rey allowed. "So did you come to watch me show off?"

"It is one of my favorite things to do," he said. "I even brave the horrible cold to do it."

It was not that cold, Silver.

"I noticed," she teased, patting the coat with her hands. "It's how I know you care."

"I'm happy to know my sacrifices are being acknowledged," Silver joked. "I also thought I should get some more practice walking."

"How's that going?" Rey asked.

[long_memory]

"Better. I think I've got the balancing worked out," he said. "Now it's more just relearning how to get a good stride going and dealing with different surfaces."

Stupid cobblestone everywhere was not helping.

"We could find an excuse to go on some walks if that would help," she offered.

"It looks fun," Anakin said with a grin.
