Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey was glaring at the rock wall this week.

She'd given herself a sort of Force project over this last week, trying to figure out the right way to tackle it, and it was going... okay. Definitely not as well as she would prefer. And when she didn't get something right away, she got frustrated, which was why by a week later, she was glaring at a rock wall like it had done something to her personally and not like she'd probably be fine if she just got over herself.

Maybe she should go back to climbing it for fun and not as a thing for a bit.

Anakin arrived at his usual time and tilted his head at Rey's expression. "Did I kill the fun of the wall for you?"

"You didn't," she assured him. "I just want to know why it's not easier."

Somewhere, Leia was very patiently rolling her eyes about this.

"Gravity?" Anakin suggested with a little grin.

[thatwaslucky]

Rey smiled a little at that. "I'm just being hard on myself."

"Well, stop that," Anakin said. "It takes all the fun out of teaching if the student is harder on themselves than the teacher is on them."

[thatwaslucky]

"You really haven't been hard on me," Rey told him.

She needed some room to kick herself.

"Would you like me to be harder?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"I like where we are," she admitted. Maybe because she was harder on herself.

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled. "I do, too," he admitted. "We make a good team."

[thatwaslucky]

Aww, you just turned her whole mood around with that.

"You think so?"

[sith_happened]

"I wouldn't say it if I didn't think it," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I needed that today, maybe," she admitted.

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled. "Bad week?"

[thatwaslucky]

"A good week, actually." He didn't want to hear about some of it. "I just haven't made a lot of progress on this one thing."

"Well, I am asking you to short circuit planetary physics," Anakin said. "It may take more than a week."

[thatwaslucky]

"Okay, when you put it like that," Rey said. "But I can float. I thought it'd just be like that."

[sith_happened]

"Floating is more static," Anakin said. "Relaxing, even."

[thatwaslucky]

"That's true," Rey agreed. "I guess being a good team means you get to be rational at me."

[sith_happened]

"Obi-Wan would laugh to hear me being called rational," Anakin said, "but yes."

[thatwaslucky]

"You've grown since then," Rey pointed out, smiling.

[sith_happened]

"I have," Anakin said, looking pleased with himself.

[thatwaslucky]

"Speaking of growth, I don't suppose you were little last weekend and I missed it," Rey said.

[sith_happened]

"I wasn't," Anakin said, smiling. "Probably for the best. I was an extremely strange 10 year old."

"Extremely strange how?" Rey wondered.

[sith_happened]

"I was very serious about being a Jedi," Anakin said. "That wore off somewhat as I became a teenager."
