The Junkyard, Saturday Morning
Greef had been adamant that he'd found a place for him to lay low, away from any lingering Imperial entanglements. Promised up and down that it was the perfect spot. But he couldn't go into any details. Of course. But like hell was he going to go hide out in New Republic territory, so this was his best option at the moment.
He brought the Razor Crest in to land where he spotted other ships since there apparently wasn't a call tower here.
He sighed and powered down the ship before glancing back at his little passenger. "It's just for a little bit."
The kid blinked those big eyes at him, ears pricking up at the sounds of the ship cooling down.
No time like the present to see if he'd gotten screwed over here or not.
[OPEN, YES]

Look, you'd lost him on that one.

Which honestly probably meant he was dealing with his own stuff and wouldn't be bothering her.

"Who's your little friend?"
no subject
But she should know what a foundling meant, right?
"He's with me until I can find his people."

She did crouch down though, to greet the kid with a "Hi there," because why ignore him?
no subject
This was not how he'd pictured finding more of his kind, really.
The kid let go of Din's shin plate to reach out to this new person.

"Where's your Covert?" he asked. Because he could write off a lot of things as her being younger and all, but...

"...you don't?" Oh no, was he going to have to adopt this kid too?

"Like I said, it's just me," Sabine said. "And I don't have anything to hide from."
And okay that was technically not true.

But first he was just going to give her such a look for that. Behind his helmet, but she really should understand the force of his judgement there.
As someone who'd seen his own Covert get fucked right on up by Imperial remnants.

"What?"

"Where are you from, exactly?" she wondered.

Maybe the question should have been when.
no subject
You know, the place where her family had their own stronghold even if/because they were currently aligned with the Empire.
no subject
"Too many Imp remnants." Too much New Republic too.
no subject
"When are you from?" Sabine finally asked.
