The Junkyard, Saturday Morning
Greef had been adamant that he'd found a place for him to lay low, away from any lingering Imperial entanglements. Promised up and down that it was the perfect spot. But he couldn't go into any details. Of course. But like hell was he going to go hide out in New Republic territory, so this was his best option at the moment.
He brought the Razor Crest in to land where he spotted other ships since there apparently wasn't a call tower here.
He sighed and powered down the ship before glancing back at his little passenger. "It's just for a little bit."
The kid blinked those big eyes at him, ears pricking up at the sounds of the ship cooling down.
No time like the present to see if he'd gotten screwed over here or not.
[OPEN, YES]

Faye had been waist-deep into the engine of the Red Tail, just checking her over -- comments about her being trapped here might have gotten to Faye a touch -- though she pulled herself out to peer curiously at the new ship.
It was big, she'd give it that. And like, she wasn't going to figuratively kick the tires here with whoever it was piloting the thing presumably still inside it, but she did wander over to take a closer look with an inquisitive, "Hey there."
no subject
And a kid.
Wow, did he need to put his hand on his blaster right away? No. But, look, it had been a bad couple months. Things weren't great for him and the kid.
no subject
"Hey," she said again, waving. "Nice ride."
Look at her being friendly in the hopes of not getting shot.
no subject
"...thanks," he replied, sure how to take that. Because, well, his ship. "You the mechanic here?"
No droids, thankfully.
no subject
"Pfffff." Faye waved a hand. "No, I wish we had one. I just service my own ship." She nodded to the much-smaller craft she'd been working on.

They didn't have aliens where she was from. They closest thing she knew to that little guy was a super-smart Corgi.

Mostly just to stare some more.
no subject
Well, Travis also got to stare at a guy in almost full armor walked out with his tiny, green, alien child.
no subject
And maybe wondering if that helmet came with any sort of air filtering system or if it was more of, like, a glorified bucket sort of thing.
(He hadn’t even begun to process the presence of the kid yet.)
“Um,” he managed after a moment. “. . . Hi?”
no subject
"You a local?"
no subject
Well. At least he was honest?
“I’m. I mean. Yes? I’m local. To this, um, planet. Um. Welcome to Fandom. And, um. Earth, I guess?”
no subject
"...thanks." Yeah, the welcoming committee thing was going to be the weirdest part of being here.

And, well.
"So this is interesting," she said, sounding casual even if she was a tiny bit on edge till she found out his deal.
no subject
And, okay, maybe more at the armor she wasn't sporting. "Is it now?"
no subject
She wasn't important enough for anyone to come after her, but there could still be some weird stuff here.
no subject
"There are others?" He could super ignore the other question because he didn't have an answer to it.
no subject
no subject
Look, you'd lost him on that one.

Anakin was there to upgrade his security panel to make it Shuri-and-Nina proof and was there in time to watch...wow, something that looked more precariously held together than the Falcon land.
Why did he have a bad feeling about this?
no subject
Because, look at that, a Mandalorian and a baby Yoda came ambling out of the ship together.
no subject
hidedo some quick reconnaissance.Okay. Not Boba Fett. And not a weirdly short Yoda.
But still...not great.
no subject
He glanced down at the kid like giving him A Look would keep him from wandering off to eat the local fauna. Which, well. No. "Keep close."
