Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [03/03].

A rather...official-looking and distressingly thick document had arrived for Shunsui at the store that day, one that he was desperately trying to convince himself had something to do with taxes or supplies and therefor should be going directly to Summer-chan, but the labels were all in Japanese and had official Shinigami seals, so...odds were....not so much.

Unless Summer-chan was remarkably good at hiding her reiatsu, she was a very capable young woman, maybe this whole time...

...anything if it meant not having to accept that he was being sent something so...official.

And just as he was grumbling to himself about it accidentally falling in the trash, his attention shifted to a small black butterfly drifting in through the doors somehow and making a beeline (butterfly line?) straight for him, and he groaned.

"Taicho!" came a small, familiar, slightly static-filled voice from the shimmering black energy of the jigokuchō. "Did you receive my package, Kyōraku-taicho?"

Ahhh, yes, leave it to her to actually follow-up. Shunsui sighed, but he plastered a beatific smile on his face even though he knew she couldn't see him right now. "Do you mean this absolutely horrible thing sitting on my checkout counter right now, Nanao-chan ♥?"

"Yes, that's it exactly. It's probably safe to assume you haven't even ovened it yet. As a matter of fact, I should probably be instructing you to remove it from the trash."

"One step ahead of me, Nanao-chan ♥," Shunsui chuckled. "As always ♥. I'm almost afraid to ask, but...what is it?"

"A calender," the voice from the butterfly explained. "Of all of the manditory meetings Captain Commander Yamamoto has set from this day forward."

Shunsui stared at the butterfly, aghast. "M-mandatory?"

"Yes. Mandatory. Meaning it's the absolute least you could do to at least make an appearance. It's not like you bothered doing much during those meetings when you were here; all this involves is a little bit of travel and schedule-keeping, which, of course, I will be more than happy to arrange for you if you--"

"Ara ara, Nanao-chan!" Shunsui complained. "But there's still so much work to do--"

"Ah, yes," Nanao from the butterfly interrupted shortly, "how IS that book of yours coming along, Taicho?"

Well, one good thing about communicating by jigokuchō rather than in person is that Shunsui felt absolutely no qualms about taking a moment to narrow his eyes at it before giving it a seemingly small puff of a breath to send it reeling through the air until it disappeared into a trail of black smoke. He then regarded the package for a moment longer before it still wound up in the trash.

Sure, sure, he'd fish it out later because he would feel bad, but, hey. At that moment? Nanao-chan did say she'd take care of everything, and the less he had to think about putting up appearances back in Soul Society again, the better.
