Devil's Nest | Monday Night
The cocktail umbrellas were still in abundance tonight, which worked just fine for Annie (who promptly stuck three into the pile of hair on the back of her head that she generously was calling a bun.)
She was distracted -- her phone kept chiming, and every time, Annie was on it like the message was going to expire or something, worried that it would be Vought calling or emailing to cancel her audition tomorrow.
But no, every time, it was her mother, telling her something inane but helpful, like to make sure she used the three-inch curling iron rather than the two-inch since the big curls photographed better.
There was also a good luck message from her friend Countess, which Annie wanted to believe was genuine, but a part of her suspected it was some kind of mind game.

She totally gave the stairs capital letters with her voice, there. They deserved them.
Re: Bar | 3/29
It was 30. He meant 30.
Re: Bar | 3/29
Because swim-training with a Navy SEAL was as gentle as water aerobics or whatever, obviously.

"Heard anything about your super hero team up?" She asked Annie.

Re: Bar | 3/29
Does she really need to ask for the drink at this point?
"I'm the wrong person to ask for good luck," she noted. "And no one has ever said I've had any charm."
Re: Bar | 3/29
Please note: even Annie did not like black licorice. But she knew people who did, and that was what was important to this simile.

Really probably pizza then sleep.
Re: Bar | 3/29
Granted that's mostly how Jessica lived now.
