Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Friday [04/16].
Even though she'd skipped out on most of last week, the time she was there had been...productive enough in the forge that this last week had mostly been dedicated to going through what she'd hammered out and seeing what should be melted back down into something else and what was worth salvaging and sprucing up into something nice for the weapons wall or for some good discount basic swords.
There was also plenty of stuff she'd been working on with Zephyr while she was here to sort through, including a couple medals that apparently hadn't made it to their perspective owners that she might have to do something about, and a lot of pieces of armor that looked very cool but were absolutely useless when it came to functionality. The girl was definitely creative, but not very practical, when you got right down to it.
Needless to say, Amaya had plenty of things to keep her busy, and there was one sword she'd started last week in particular that seemed to be going down a nice route as she continued to work on it, which had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the blade of the sword was practically longer than she was tall, really!
The Forge is open!

"Need a tea break?"
She had brought a flask.

Just a few more bangs on that edge before setting down the hammer and balancing the sword between the anvils.
"I could go for some tea. How's it going, Seivarden?"

"Sorry to hear that. How is the gun doing?"

She wasn't too bothered by the whole thing, but she had considered trying to raise tha bar in order to show Breq she was doing well here.

She'd been sort of meaning to. She'd been meaning to get out a lot more than she did in general, really
but it was some highly contested brain real estate to duke it out for.no subject
She still didn care much for swords, or for the sword club, but she was prepare to make an effort in order to impress Breq.

She had come a long way, hadn't she?

But Amaya, she had offered! Weren't you impressed?
"Now that I can go back home perhaps I should bring some decent arrack to the bar."
no subject
"Assuming, anyway," she added with a grin, "we're not just all too uncivilized to appreciate it."

So let's change the subject.
"Oh, I wanted to ask you, do you miss the movie class?"
no subject
"Sometimes," she said, shrugging a little, "sure. It definitely lost quite a bit of its steam there once Peter left, but I've always enjoyed...most of it."
Musicals, mushiness, and flirting Shinigami aside.
"Thinking of trying to start it back up?" she wondered, since otherewise it seemed a bit like a non-sequitor.

Trying to be sociable. And trying very hard not to make this sound like a "movie night".
"Maybe Ignis or Summer."
no subject
"You could sign me up for something like that, too, sure," Amaya grinned faintly. "I miss seeing all those nice ships blowing up."
