The Devil's Nest, Friday Night

It had taken Lucifer this long, but he had finally had some time to sit down and watch the best-of Eurovision this year. He blamed Duke's boat and its lack of a convenient Netflix - or, well, Peacock - spot for the whole thing.

Either way, he'd come back from it with a renewed appreciation of the chanson. So he put some nice French wines on the menu, added a cheery FRANCE NIGHT above it in all caps, and sank down behind the piano to play.

"The only downside," he confided to Tiny at one point or another, "Is that I can't wave my hands around dramatically when I play it on piano."

It was another one of those Friday nights where Octavia showed up late in the evening. This time, though, she had a bag over her shoulder when she did. Hadn't come back to the island until just now, after leaving in the morning to go to therapy.

She drifted to the piano, this time. Quietly.

Lucifer's fingers were still playing the outro to his latest song when she came in. He looked up at her and smiled. "Back from a trip?"

"New York," Octavia said, as she came to a stop by the piano.

She didn't seem thrilled about it, not that it was easy to tell when her resting face was what it was.

"Ah, therapy," Lucifer said. He patted the bench next to him.

"That was most of the day ago," Octavia pointed out, a little mildly, as she moved to sit down, sliding the bag off her shoulder and setting it on the floor.

"So what did you do with the rest of your day?" Lucifer asked, waving at Tiny. "Get her a fancy lemonade, will you?"

Jessica ordered her usual rotgut before heading over to see Lucifer. “I see we’re being all fancy tonight,” She said waving at the wine choices. “No Night Train or Mad Dog?”

Lucifer snorted. "Your taste buds might be used to the worst, but mine aren't," he said.

“Well, you’re totally missing out on the white trash and college students with no taste,” Jessica snarked. “Your loss.”

"Spring break was ages ago," Lucifer informed her primly. "How are you this evening?"

“Fine,” she said with a long sigh. “Not really hung over but haven’t had enough to drink to get over the booze from yesterday. Be happy you don’t get hangovers.”

Dwight had spent most of the day walking around town learning the layout of the island and meeting a few new people along the way. It was starting to get a little late so he figured it was as good a time as any to take Lucifer up on that offer to stop by. So Dwight walked into the Devil's Nest and up to bar and took a seat.

"Evening, Lucifer," he said with the most pleasant tone he could muster.

"Ah, still haven't had time to find a barber, have we?" Lucifer asked, waving at Tiny. "Tiny, take the yeti's order, please."

"Might get around to it sometime here shortly. In the mean-time I figured I'd give ya the $50 back. No sense throwing money at something that's not gonna happen for a bit."

Dwight pulled the bill out and laid it on the counter.

"So, France Night huh? At the risk of seeming even more the heathen in your eyes, got any nice French beers back there? Maybe some Licorne Black or something similar?"

"Well, I suppose at least it's not an IPA," Lucifer sighed. "Tiny? The Licorne Black, please." He eyed Dwight. "Of which you'll have to buy several if you want to spend all of that."

"You do a running tab here? Not planning on getting wasted tonight but will probably be around here and there."

He eyed Lucifer back with almost a hint of a smirk.

"After all, can't miss the opportunity to talk to the devil himself."

Jessica saw the huge guy with the Thor like hair enter the bar and gave him a skeptical look. “You must be the new guy.”

Nope. No greetings or introductions. That’s how Jessica rolled.

Dwight chuckled to himself softly- was definitely starting to be a trend around this place.

"Yeah, name's Dwight" he said returning he skeptical look with a curious look of his own. "And you are?"

“Jessica,” she replied as she pushed her empty glass towards Tiny. “Professional barfly. What weird circumstances brought you here?”

"Needed a change of scenery and found an opportunity and took it... ended up here. Whether that is for the better or not, still remains to be seen. But hey, not even been a full week so no quick judgements, right?"
