Friday Morning- Fix & Clean Shop
It had been a busy week for Dwight and the morning had begun bright and early yet again. His current project for Hannibal was finally giving him something to keep his mind occupied with. Several of the large wooden shelves lined the wall of the shop as he made is way from one to the other, putting on the final varnish and sealant coats.
There was still plenty to do and enough to keep him busy for a bit, which Dwight would have always preferred busy over bored. The day was looking good as he had a pot of coffee brewed up on the counter, the front doors open to let in the fresh air, and the smell of wood shavings was beginning to fill the shop.
Dwight paused for a moment and smiled. Things looked like they were finally starting to go well as he finally started to feel more at home and more settled in at last.

"Hey, man, how's it going?"

"Hey, doing ok" he said with a grin. "And you? Hows the pup doing?"
no subject
"She's good," Travis said proudly. "Growing like a weed, and she's really seeming to love her training."

"Been working on some renovation and refinishing on these shelves from Hannibal's library. Seems he had a bit of a fire a little while back and he came to me asking if I could restore the shelves for him."

Dwight watched Travis pour in the creamer and sighed apologetically. "Haven't had much time yet to really get everything completely set up. Better than it was but still working on things. Promise I wont poison you next time" he said simply.

"Hello?" he called, stepping into the shop. "Is there anyone here who might know a thing or two about the repair of a brig?"
... hi, Dwight.
no subject
"Hey there, name's Dwight" he said, giving a friendly nod. "A Brigantine huh? I'm assuming it is the one I have seen floating in the harbor lately. Never personally done much with Brigs, but have worked on some smaller ships - a Galley and Ketch in particular. I'd be glad to take a look and see what I can do. What's the specific issue you are needing some assistance with?"
no subject
"She'll hold for a while longer, I reckon, but why run the risk?"
no subject
"Ah rudder damage" he said with a nod. "Pretty common. I should be able to help you out with some basic repairs, Captain....?" Dwight asked respectfully.

"Definitely one of the most impressive ships I have seen up close. Most of what we have where I'm from are little schooners and fishing boats."

Hey, Miguel, good to see you" he said, looking up from his with a smile. "Doing good, and yourself?"

"Oh?" Dwight asked as he looked at the bag.

"Miguel, my man" he said as he looked at him for a moment then put his attention back to examining the suit. "You have outdone yourself. It looks amazing!"
no subject
Seriously, Dwight, you had the worst power, and the protective part of Miguel wanted to encase you in this stuff for good.

Dwight ran his hands over the fabric again, still amazed by the way it moved and how it felt.
"I know I have what could be in the running for the worst super power ever. But this will go a long way in countering that. And no worries, I'll keep my head on my shoulders" he added with a laugh.
