Raccoons were not a rare sight on the streets of Fandom. Whether they were busily heading to work at the brewery, antagonizing Troopers at the station, or just otherwise going about their raccoon-y business, no one was likely to blink an eye at seeing one or two wandering about as they went about time. Most of them weren't wearing crowns, though. And generally they weren't walking around on their hind paws with a pickle jar stuck on one of their front ones.

But that was just what made the Trash King a king.

He and his minions arrived very early Sunday morning, right around the radio squirrel shift change, when the night squirrels went to bed and the morning ones got to work. At the Trash King's orders, his raccoon recruits spread out through town, each with a stack of fliers and posted them about on bare walls, telephone poles, trees, trash cans, stop signs. . . .:

The fliers also listed the address to see the menu and download the Donut County Delivery Donuts app. The Trash King looked on in approval, then scurried into the woods, his best construction raccoons following after. It was time to set up his trash empire!
