Caritas; Wednesday [07/14].
If it weren't for the fact that a) Caritas was literally just across the street from where Summer lived and b) she had a portal gun to get anywhere she needed to even if it wasn't, Summer might not have bothered coming into the bar for her shift that day, but honestly? She also kind of wanted something to do now that her best friends and her spaceship had been holed, and one of those things might be drinking on the job, sure, but one of those things had also been (surprise surprise) jello-related, and so she was there and maybe, just maybe, there might even be a few other people even left on the island thing might need a drink, too.
Siiiiiiighhhhhhh.
Was it too much to ask that someone figured out what they needed to shoot at to get things back to normal again already, or what? She'd really like to just shoot at something to get things back to normal again already...before her guns disappeared down a hole as well, ugh!

First One Free if you're not down a hole or something, I guess??

And honestly, Summer was just glad other people were still around.
And Summer sort of figured anyone who bothered to come in would be having that kind of day, so the whiskey was close by and ready, and she was definitely poured with her usual heavy hand.
"I'd ask how you're doing," she offered, after setting the drink down, "but I think I can guess."

"My idiot brother escaped."
You know. From being handcuffed to a radiator.

Normal sibling stuff, right?

Summer could think of a lot of instances where her life would have been vastly improved if only she'd thought to handcuff her own idiot brother to a radiator.
She couldn't help smirking a little, though, because that was kind of sweet, actually?
"Are we sure escaped is the right word in this case?" she wondered, smirk softening, because it was getting harder to keep up on these things the more ridiculous they got. "Or is it more swallowed up by a big hole? Because that kind of thing has been going around lately."

He would have his revenge for Dolores, McGarrett!
"If he's fallen into a hole already, I'll kill him."

Then there was a slight pause before she asked, "You're talking about Diego, right?"
Because she didn't think she'd actually met Five yet, but she was pretty good at putting pieces together.
When she bothered paying enough attention, anyway.

He was terrible like that.
"Unfortunately, yes."

"It's cute that you're concerned about him falling in a hole," Summer decided.
Just go ahead and try to deny it, Five. She'll wait.
Except not really, because she was already following that up with, "How's Dolores holding up in all this?"
no subject
Too late.
"She's safe in Diego's apartment now." Freed from her bindings.

Summer gave a small nod. "That's good to hear," she said, and she actually meant it, a lot, because she knew maybe less than five things about five, but the Dolores thing was probably her favorite.
"And how are you doing?"
Besides clearly being so concerned about his brother and all...

Which was to say, no, not all that</i[ ridiculous, if you were Summer, but she clearly agreed with you on the annoying part, Five.

"I could definitely go for shooting it."
Whatever it turned out to be.
She set a beer (generic) in front of Jesse.
"Assuming my guns are even still there when I get home."
Still a bit rankled about the ship, yeah.

Look, if your gun killed everyone else who touched it, you'd be worried too.

There was a pause.
"Well, they took the DN," she pointed out, "and Amaya's forge, so I guess they have taken weapons and booze. Someone better keep an eye on the animal shelter."
Fuck. Now she was going to be keeping an eye on the animal shelter again, wasn't she? And so help her if this wound up with her getting another cat like the last time!

A short pause. "You think the pet shop evacuates the pets when something goes wrong?" she said. "There should probably be a protocol for that."
no subject
And it didn't matter that much, either, because now she remembered Prompto could go right back to protecting it again if need be. So that was nice!

"Town Hall meetings are a thing, right?" she said. "Do a little weekly, biweekly, or even monthly jam session to sort of get ideas brewing. Maybe not a terrible idea. Could be good for community cohesion, y'know? You can have coffee and donuts, as insentive"
A pause.
"Or booze. Let's be real, do booze, if you really want to draw 'em in."

Seriously, the more she thought about it, the more irritated she got about it.
But she sighed away her irritation, shook her head, and asked, "so what can I get you tonight, Miguel?"
