Thanks to a ~~oh-so-handwavey~~ visit from a certain former employee of the shelter over the weekend, Sakaki had a new task to add to her duties at Furnado and that was cleaning the fishtanks. Apparently, it had been a pretty big deal around here in the past, and Sidon had shown her all sorts of methods and techniques to make it easier and more efficient, and even though Sidon was incredibly intimidating and a little bit scary, he was also very nice and enthusiastic and managed to instil in Sakaki an incredible drive to make sure that she did this fish-tank cleaning thing with all the dedication and perfection that it deserved.

It was just fish tanks, sure, but the thought of potentially just disappointing Sidon with her performance was somehow much, much scarier than Sidon's presence as a whole.

Unfortunately, cleaning the fish tanks also meant having to be extra diligent in making sure that the cats didn't take advantage of the fact that the fish were now a little easier to get to, which meant that, even though she was clearly deep into a project, Sakaki was definitely not about to avoid the usual cat-related injuries this week.
