When one wore sandals almost always and lived on an island, the sensation of sand between one's toes was not an uncommon one. It was, however, not a feeling Shunsui particularly expected to have to deal with while at the store.

But, then again, not every day was Play in the Sand Day, which Apu-san assured him was a completely real thing, as well as something that apparently necessitated bringing a whole beach into the front area of the store in front of the counter, littered with all sorts of plastic shovels and pails and other sand-playing tools.

No doubt the sign boasting 25% off your purchase if you build a sandcastle! was an executive decision made on his own behalf, because he certainly hadn't been consulted about it and he doubted Summer-chan had been, as well, but as long as he intended to clean it all up himself as well, Shunsui couldn't hold any of it against him.

In fact, he might try for a few sand castles himself, here and there. He certainly didn't need the discount, but it was a nice way to break up the space between naps.
