Turtle & Canary; Friday [08/20[.
After radio and the few mentions of interactions between other people on the island that suggested that she was not alone in what she'd been feeling this week, Astrid finally went to the woods. And it was...not much. A glowing stone, that she touched, and the feeling, the thoughts, she'd been having repeated and pulsated in her brain and through her blood, and while that seemed like something she should be worried about, she was instead oddly comforted by it and it felt...fine. She couldn't shake the feeling that it maybe shouldn't feel fine, but it did, and that was just kind of...nice, and so she just...let herself embrace it.
She was also going to embrace a page from her boss' book and maybe borrow a pillow from the bedding section and take a nap at the counter. There was a bell above the door, after all, she was sure it would wake her if anyone came in, and, if anything, she would no doubt be stirred back into awareness by the sheer power of Apu's disapproving glare, anyway.
