So, his father was here. For some reason. He couldn't believe Mom or Pogo hadn't given him the head's up so he could leave town. Rude, is what that was.

Didn't really occur to him that somebody here might be dead, no.

"Law enforcement," Reginald said, giving the troopers a once over. "I raised you better than this, Number Two."

Sir Reginald was acab, confirmed.

Diego looked up from where he had been texting (begging) Annie to not come into work today, but not giving her an exact reason why. "If it helps, we are barely cops, Dad."

Diego was trying to pretend he was busy, but he kept looking up every couple minutes at his father. It was weird to see him there and he sort of complimented him? Being too good for law enforcement was a compliment, right?

Silly Diego. Telling Annie not to come without telling her why meant that she was just a little worried as she poked her head into the station today. Besides, she'd already gotten his coffee while picking up her own and Ms. Stillwell's Americano -- apparently ghosts liked beverages still, this was all so weird -- and she wasn't going to let it go to waste.

"Is everything okay? Sorry -- I don't have to stay long," she said in greeting, holding up the coffee as a demonstration of why she was stopping in anyway, in spite of him saying not to. Though she was gratified to see the station wasn't, like, in some kind of emergency state, even if it just made her a little more concerned about what was actually going on.

She naturally did not think that this random old dude hanging out in the station was the reason, of course. For all she knew, this was the Bee Lady, who was actually Bee Guy Who Sounded Like a Lady on the Phone.

Diego bolted up from his chair, trying to act casual even if he so wasn't casual right now. "You can't be here, for your own safety."

"What the hell is going on?" Well now Annie definitely wasn't going to just leave without him. Not if it was dangerous! "If it's not safe then you should leave, too!"

Though really, this was all weird, because everyone knew that if something dangerous was happening, they both belonged right in the middle of it. Probably while punching something.

"I'm neither deaf nor blind, Number Two," Reginald called from where he was currently pilfering snacks from Danny's desk. It was either that or eat the donuts those gross ass troopers touched.

Oh, shit.

Cue Annie shooting Diego a wide-eyed, incredulous look, and then trying to get a real good look at that old guy she'd written off.

And while she probably should have said something like, 'Hi,' or politely lied that it was nice to meet him, what Annie found herself saying instead was, "His name is Diego."

So, you know. Maybe she shouldn't have come. Perhaps there'd been some wisdom in that. (Though it wasn't her safety that Annie was really concerned with, to be honest.)

But he felt the need to deflect some of that... Reginald-ness off of Diego. Just don't tell him that, though.

Five continued to give him a serious once over like he was trying to place when this was for their father. "Well, it was as good as any place."

Liam came into the station, a blonde woman who looked to be barely more than a teenager trailing hesitantly behind him.

"Welcome to the Fandom Trooper Station," he told Amanda.
