Saturday Morning- Dwight's Apartment and Workshop- FoD

For the first time in far too long, Dwight had slept without dreams. There was no need to dream about Lizzie. She was here- however temporarily that might be. Dwight shifted slightly in the recliner as he began to wake up and smiled as he looked down at his daughter who was still sound asleep, snuggled beside him. With a smile Dwight thought back to last night.

Learning that this...gift.... the island had given him of brining Lizzie back was only a weekend thing. That had been hard to deal with.  But Dwight knew that if they really only had two days then he was going to make the most of it.

It hadn't taken Lizzie long at all to find the stack of books Dwight had brought with him- including the huge story book that had always been her favorite.  So after some milk and cookies, they had settled down and Dwight read all of her favorite stories from the book. He read until she fell asleep in his arms, and eventually, at some point in the night, he had finally lost the battle and had drifted off to sleep as well.

Now as he sat there, his daughter back in his arms where she belonged, Dwight didn't want this to end. He wasn't going to think about that right now. He was just going to enjoy having his daughter back.

"Good morning sleepy head" he said with a smile as Lizzie started to wake up.

(For Dwight and Lizzie, but also open for anyone who wants to stop by)

She yawed again as she looked up at him and smiled. Looking down into her lap she picked up the story book and smiled.

"I'm glad you brought it with you" she said simply.

Dwight had spent part of the evening explaining that they weren't in Haven and telling Lizzie he had moved (though he left out the reason why for obvious reasons.)

She sat there looking through the book for a few minutes and then closed it with a laugh as she slid out of the chair.

"Come on, you promised you would show me our new home. I want to see the island!"
