Sakaki had gotten the news that she was approved for another semester of on-hands training for her veternary school credits here at Furnado, and someone had dropped off a whole basket full of adorable hedgehogs that morning, and so Sakaki decided they were going to have a little party to celebrate and welcome the hedgehogs into the shelter, which involved a lot of tiny hedgehog sized decorations and hedgehog-centered party snacks and, most importantly, hats for the hedgehogs.

And Sakaki was pretty sure this was one of the best days in her entire life because of it.

No, she didn't get much work done at all, but, really, hedgehogs in hats. Why did it matter? Why did anything else in the world matter when there were hedgehogs in hats?
