Wanda had promised Thor merriment, and what was more fun than drinking and bowling? It hadn't taken long to explain the game to Thor, but it did take some coaching to get him to not hurl the ball down the lane at full strength.

Luckily Wanda had the power to fix those first couple dents on her own.

Lane 4 AKA Bowlvengers

Which was the name Thor and Wanda had come up for their team. They weren't the best at coming up with names. 

Don't trip on any of the numerous cases of Asgardian ale. If you were worried,  Thor had no intention of going through all of them tonight, he had plans to leave some for Steve and Bucky.

Wanda wasn't bowling so much as doing damage control. It was still fun, and she was nursing a (regular, non-Asgardian) beer while she watched Thor rough up the place.

Steve flopped down next to Wanda with a laugh as his Thor went off and tried each bowling ball, declaring each one unworthy.

"Well, this is exhausting."

"Understatement," Wanda said. "It was very strange making coffee this morning with a god snoring on my couch."

Because he'd be hauling Steve back if he got into that mead too much.

Thor still didn't understand the point of the game, but it was fun throwing the balls around. The more ale he drank the sloppier his rolls got, but Wanda seemed okay with fixing any damage.

Zack had suggested bowling as a good team bonding activity and Goose knew this was most likely going to be a bad idea, because the Galaxy Rangers going anywhere was an invitation for a disaster. He had never been bowling before so he was having the rules explained to him before they could begin.

“So you just throw a ball at some pins and knock them down?” Goose was saying, sounding a bit sceptical.

Annie had campaigned for their team to be Girls Get It Done, and had been summarily shot down by a single look from Maggie.

She was also enjoying a totally normal, non-Asgardian beer, though she would probably be coerced into a few of these -- since unbeknownst to Annie, someone had gone and made a promise about getting her drunk.

"There's two of you?" Annie, squealing was not becoming of a superhero. Have a touch more chill, please. "Oh, man, I love the multiverse. I'm Annie! Hi! My friend Maggie and I are on a team kind of like the Avengers."

She'd gotten good at giving kind of a Spark Notes version of things.

Steve gave her a toast with his Asgardian ale, so this was already off to a good start. "How's your weekend going?"

Oh yeah, Annie totally noticed that Mr. I Don't Drink Because It Has No Effect had gotten into the good stuff, yep. "Pretty good! My teammate visited," she said, gesturing over to where Maggie was bowling with Wanda's Thor. "I totally wasn't expecting her to actually turn up."

"Annie, hey," Liam waved from where he and Street were setting up.

"Annie?" the aforementioned redhead looked up, eyes narrowing speculatively as she followed Liam's gaze. "I know that name!"

Yeah, Annie, she'd heard about you. All good things, of course.

Oh, wow Street, those were some clothes. Annie liked you already.

"Liam, oh my God, it's been forever!" Annie exclaimed in delight. "And hi, Liam's friend!"

Her own visitor was drunk-bowling with a Norse god; she could collect her in a moment.

Of course Maggie was an outstanding bowler. She had fucking superpowers.

The trickiest part, honestly, was keeping from overdoing it Thor-style and heaving a ball into a wall or breaking a machine or something. Particularly after she got into the Asgardian ale.

"Holy shit, this stuff packs a punch," she observed, clearly delighted.

Maybe she'd kind of needed a little vacation, sure. Fine.

"The best Asgard has to offer!" Well, had to offer since it didn't exist anymore. "You bowl very well, Your Majesty!"

She had broken less stuff than he had, so he thought that meant she was better.

"Thank you," Maggie said, having had enough ale to give a gracious, queenly bow. She grabbed a ball once she had straightened up again, passing it from palm to palm like it was a beanbag. "I've played a few times before. It's a traditional Earth game."

All games played on Earth were traditional Earth games, probably.

Today's outfit involved turquoise pleather pants and a matching jacket, and a purple sequined t-shirt.

Also liberal amounts of glitter, which Street remained absolutely delighted about. (They were going to be finding glitter strewn about the Lair for months after this. She wasn't sorry.)

"Come on," she wheedled, dragging Liam into Fast Eddie's. "It'll be fun!"

"Oooh," Street laughed. "I like him. Who's this guy?" she asked Liam.

"That's, uh. You know, I don't actually know?" Liam admitted. "Why don't you go over there and find out?" he asked, giving her a gentle shove in Thor's direction.

He had his suspicions, based on who else was here and what he'd gathered about Steve's team back home, but like he'd pass up a chance to make Street do a little bit of recce.
