The Perk - Wednesday Afternoon

After finishing with classes for the week, Jo got her normal hot cocoa at the Perk and sat down at one of the tables.

This week however she had with her a brand new, well at least it was new to her, phone and she had now finished setting it up with the different apps that she needed.

She was finding it all to be quite fascinating and was spending time going through the different ones that she now had on her phone.

Dwight had been out and about taking care of a few things and decided to stop by the Perk. With a large highly caffeinated drink in hand he made his way, giving Jo a wave and a smile as he sat down at a nearby table.

"New phone?" he asked, knowing that look all too well considering the phone in his pocket was still somewhat of a work in progress for him too.

Jo glanced up from her phone, nodding and returning the wave, “I thought it would be something useful to have while I’m here,” she explained with a smile, “it’s fascinating, there’s so many apps,”

Dwight nodded and fished his own out of his pocket and held it up and smirk.

"Got a new one myself. I don't have quite the time jump you do but I'm still trying to play catch up to the technology. I had just started using one of these before I came here. And evidently, that was technically 20 years ago so a lot can change in that time it seems."

“It’s pretty incredible how technology’s advanced,” she said with a smile, “and I’m told that there are even more advanced ones,” she said, “I wouldn’t have thought that was possible,”

"Yeah, evidently there are even phones that you can talk to and they will talk back. That's a bit more than I am interested in. In reality, I kinda wish a phone could just go back to being a phone again" he said with a slight chuckle.

“I know what you mean,” she smiled, “even though I think now it will be rather peculiar going back home and phones will just be stationary,” she paused, “and not having the internet,” she was finding she was quite liking having it.
