Streets of Fandom- Saturday
There was a cat out and about exploring the Fandom streets today. Yes totally a cat and not at all a secret cannibalistic alien. He even had a collar that read ‘Goose’.
How he had gotten out of a locked top floor apartment would forever be a mystery but for now Goose theFlerken cat was prowling through Fandom, exploring his new surroundings to see if there were any tasty eating options. There was nothing suspicious going on here. Really.

He smiled and knelt down with a hand out hopefully. "Hello there, beautiful boy."

Hello new human, he wandered over to inspect Jon’s hand, please continue to give him your undivided attention.

He purred, enjoying the scritches.

"Should I take you home and try to find your owners, or are you an outdoor cat that'll find your own way home? There aren't cars or anything here, so you're probably safe, and you don't look hungry, but..." He sighed.
He got up, reluctantly stopped the scritches, and took a few steps back, looking to see if the cat followed or not.

He moved to start following Jon, still meowing. He had gotten out of a top floor apartment so he had somewhere to stay but well he still liked attention.

"I wonder if we should go to the store and buy you some tuna," Jon said. "Well, I suppose we could buy you tinned food, but since you're clearly on an adventure today, I think you should get something special, don't you?"
He got his bearing and started heading for Turtle & Canary.

To be fair, if he did eat Jon, Jon would probably just think he'd had it coming to him.
For now, he was going to head over to the store and get this very good cat some tuna, while he petted and loved on him.
no subject
He purred, yes he was a very good cat and he deserved all the tuna.

Then he realised his error.
"Well, I suppose I'll have to take you home with me, Goose," he said, rubbing his ears. "I haven't exactly got a can opener on me. I hope you don't mind. You do seem to be a very good cat, and I won't keep you if you've got someplace to go after," he promised.
no subject
He purred to show he approved of the plan, he was also a very good cat and because he liked Jon he wouldn't even try and eat his furniture.

So he was doing that. And giving Goose more scritches. "If you do have people, I hope they aren't worried about you. But you seem to be fine; I'm sure you're good at taking care of yourself. Besides, you're a cat, and therefor superior, aren't you?"
Or at least thought you were, because

flerkencat. He preened and meowed softly at Jon’s praises. His people had been a tad busy when he had left them on a spaceship so they were probably more focused on the upcoming battle then on him but maybe they did notice he was gone. The only people who wouldn’t care where he was were the Skrulls but that was simply because they didn’t appreciate his superiority. It had nothing to do with him being a terrifying cannibalistic alien.
But he was good at taking care of himself even though he liked it when other people did it for him sometimes.

Jon made it back to his flat and opened the door. "Now, I'll open the balcony in case you want out," he assured Goose as he went to do that before closing the front door. "But you're welcome to stay here as long as you like." He set Goose down carefully and went to dig out a can opener.

He got out a plate, opened one can of cat food and one of tuna, and put them both on it side-by-side in case he preferred one or the other, then set it on the floor.
"Right, you'll probably want water, too."
He went to get a dish for that and set it down by the other.

Wait. No. No it didn't. No cardboard box here. Definitely no one in the cardboard box. Nothing to see here.
In truth, Snake had spotted the cat, and that made him a little nervous, cats could be trouble, but he was Solid Snake, a master of stealth and covert operations.
Clearly.

Goose wandered closer to inspect it.

Snake was starting to wish he had better training for cat-related incidents about right now.

Which was why, not too long after leaving the diner, Summer needed a second to just lean on a wall....
And promptly threw up, narrowly avoiding missing those cute but impractical little flats she'd stolen from that closet.
"....worth it," she said, a moment later, when she'd stopped and caught her breath and wiped a little vomit from her chin with the back of her rough and callused hand.

Goose wandered up to Summer to start taking a closer looker.

Like the shit she'd been eating lately wasn't a million times more gross.
