Summer-chan had barely even been gone a handful of days, and, already, there were problems at the store.
Well, Apu-san thought there were problems at the store. Shunsui didn't see what all the fuss was about, himself, but what he did know was that, without Summer-chan there to act as manager and mediator, he was getting the full brunt of Apu-san's complaints, and it was very difficult to listen to him when these rants were cutting into what was usually Shunsui's precious nap time.
Apparently, though, young Astrid-chan had made an error in her orders, and instead of getting a nice shipment of lavender soaps, they instead received a large shipment of lavender soups, and Apu-san was making the case that, clearly, she didn't know what she was doing and would cause the store to fall to ruin.
"I'm sure someone will buy them, Apu-san," Shunsui tried to appeal to him, calmly and patiently, and mostly just wanting to get back to his nap, "and we have plenty of other soaps in the meantime. If anything, if they don't move, I'm sure we can find a way to ship them out to space to Summer-chan where I'm sure she'll be absolutely delighted to attempt to make some sort of gelatin monstrosity out of them. Now, and I can't believe I'm saying this, can you please go back to stringing up garlic around every nook, cranny, and rafter of this place?"
Because, yes, that's right, they were apparently celebrating Garlic Lovers Day, so any vampires planning on shopping at Turtle & Canary that day? Sorry.
