Serenity Cove- Monday Afternoon
Had Billy started accepting the fact that maybe he was going to be stuck here for longer than he wanted? Maybe. That didn't mean he wasn't going to give getting off the island one last go.
He had gotten the motor fixed up again, and it actually seemed to be cooperating for once. So, not wanting to squander what might be his one chance to get out of there, Billy had spent the morning getting everything ready to head out. And everything had gone smoothly and in the early afternoon, he was out in the cove, heading for the more open waters to begin sailing around the island.
And all was going well for the first bit, until the familiar sputtering was heard from the motor as the engine cut out and Billy found himself adrift yet again.
"Oh you have GOT to be kidding me!" Billy exclaimed as he stood on the deck and gazed back towards the island.

And eventually, he would be making his way closer to the shore, occasionally cresting the surface to have a look about, before diving back in, sometimes skimming near the top, as he'd seen sharks do. It amused him, at times, to let his headfin breach the water as he'd seen them do at times...
He had yet to notice the boat adrift in the cove, but, as he was heading its way, there was no doubt that the boat (or those aboard it!) would spot the large, red creature underwater, swiftly swimming its way.

As he was leaning against the railing on the deck, looking to the island, trying to figure out how the heck he was going to get back to the shore this time, something caught his attention. Looking closer he saw something under the water... he couldn't make out what it was.... but it was large, and fast, and was heading towards the boat.
He leaned over a little farther over the railing, trying to get a better look. Whatever it was, it probably wasn't good knowing his luck since he had found himself here. "What in the...." he muttered as tried to peer into the water.

The answer?
A lot!
The dive back into the water was perfectly smooth and almost managed to leave that area of the water undisturbed...at least until he emerged again, this time with just his head and a satisfied, toothy grin, with a glance to the shore as he wondered if it was time to head in.
It was then that he noticed the boat, and had to let out a laugh.
"Ahoy, there!" he called out, lifting an arm in a wave. "Marvelous day to enjoy the water, wouldn't you say?"

He had been attacked by mutated dogs and slugs, and giant mutant bugs and of course, the zombies that the Umbrella Corporation had created. So when Billy saw what could only be described in his eye as a giant mutant shark of some sort speeding towards him, he had been totally prepared for it to just outright attack.
But then the... shark? The whatever it was... looked at him and spoke? Billy just stared for a moment. Mutant monsters he had experienced, the living dead he had had plenty of encounters with, but a talking shark, man, creature?
Billy made several attempts to speak. But nothing more than nonsensical mumbles and stammers would form and even those mostly died on his lips as he tried to take in what he was looking at.

"Don't worry!" Sidon called out, cupping a hand around his mouth as if that would help his voice carry better. "I'll swim over to you!"
With that, he jumped a little higher than strictly necessary to dive back into action, making quick work of closing the distance until he stopped right next to the boat.
"I say, hey, there!" he tried his greeting again. "Good to see someone else out enjoying the waters!"
no subject
"You... you... are.." Billy shook his head. This had to be some dream or something. "You, you can talk?"
Yeah forgive him Sidon, his 'this entire place can't be real' view had not quite bene totally destroyed yet.... though this jut pretty much shattered it all!
no subject
"Indeed, I can!" he confirmed. "And quite eloquently, if I may say so myself! How very astute of you to notice!"
From anyone else, that might have been a backhanded compliment, but out of Sidon? It was pure praise and sincerity.
"Allow me," he then said, sweeping an arm out and giving a regal bow....as best one could so deep in the ocean, anyway, "to introduce myself! I am Sidon!" Here, he swung that arm back in a mighty pump across his broad chest, met Billy with a grin so sharp and bright, the light glinted perfectly off the points of his teeth. "The Zora Prince!
"And who might you be?"

Which worked wonderfully as a natural segue into the rest of what Billy had said. "A Zora," he then offered, "is an amphibious race from a world called Hyrule. There are no Zora here on this world, as far as I can tell, though I suppose it is possible, it is a rather large world, isn't it? But to the best of my knowledge, the only Zora this world has ever seen is me! It is quite the presitigious honor! And it is very nice to meet you, Billy! Are you a resident of the fair Fandom Island, such as myself every now and again? Or are you coming from the grand mainland, perhaps Baltimore, or some other smaller town or hamlet?"

"Oh, I...no, I don't live on the island. I... ended up here somehow. Not sure how exactly. Was leaving Mexico trying to get to the islands... somehow wound up here off this island. Been trying for a couple weeks to get the boat fixed... and get out of here. Got a long way to go to get to where I wanted to be and...."
Billy stopped a moment as he glanced away from Sidon for a moment as a sound hit his ear. It sounded like bubbles coming up through water. At first he thought it was Sidon doing something in the water but then realized, with an equally sinking feeling in his stomach, that it sounded like there was water sloshing around below deck.
"Oh come on... enough is enough" he groaned.

He pushed himself closer again.
"Is something the matter with your boat?" he asked, with curious uncertainty, moving around the side of it as if to spot what had caused this new bout of distress.
no subject
Billy shook his head as he ran a hand through his hair, pushing it back up out of his eyes. "Been almost three weeks. This is the farthest from the island I have gotten and now this.... maybe they were right, maybe I am not getting off this island after all" Billy said with a sigh.
"Or if I do, I'm gonna end up having to swim back to shore it seems."

"There's an mooring line already fastened to the bow, so that should work.... hopefully." Billy paused for a moment, still processing everything as he made his way to the bow and began uncoiling tow line from its box on deck.
"Uhh.. Thanks, Si... ummm Prince Sidon" Billy said as he stood on the deck with the tow line.

He took a moment to enjoy thay for a moment before finding a good spot and lifting his hands.
"Throw me line, and we'll see ypu back to safety in no time!"

"Can either head to the cove or if there is somewhere else you think better. Just need to be able to get her out of the water so I can get whatever I can secured."
