Furnado Animal Shelter; Tuesday [10/26].
On Sunday, the most amazing, incredible, magical thing had happened to Sakaki.
She had encountered a cat, she had gotten close to the cat, and the cat had just...ignored her! It didn't attack her, it didn't scratch or bite or maul or even hiss! It did growl a little bit, but that was okay! She'd come out of the encounter completely unscathed, and, even though it resulted in her, overly confident in this success, being completely destroyed by the cats at the shelter, she was still riding on that fantastic high that was having been around a cat and just being ignored by it.
Any day now, surely, she'd manage to find one that would let her pet it!
Granted, if the additional bandages adorning Sakaki were any indication, today was definitely not that day, but she'd certainly tried, and now she was behind the counter not able to do much because of her arm still in a sling, but she had no regrets!
Well, maybe one regret. With her arm in a sling, she couldn't effectively dress up the puppies in all the adorable Halloween costumes they had in stock, and that was a little tragic.
But, at the rate she was going, at least Sakaki might be able to pull off a nice mummy costume for the weekend without much additional effort!
