Around town- Halloween evening

Kitty had thought that this would be over at midnight last night. You know, like last year. Instead she was going to be going trick-or-treating as an adorable blue monster.

Lexi was a dinosaur fairy, which was a dinosaur with wings on her back and a little tiara, and for her first proper time trick or treating she'd have a little adorable space alien friend along.

So as far as Lexi was concerned, this was the best.

"Um." Look, Din had not expected this. Honestly he hadn't been sure what to expect since his Halloween knowledge came from two aliens and one witch.

But maybe not this?

Grogu, on the other hand, all over his costume.

"Which part?" Kitty asked.

Don't think she wouldn't be over here getting pictures of the tiny werewolf.

"You're blue. And fuzzy." Neither thing was too odd for home, but here... "Are you normally blue and fuzzy?"

"Nope. First time I've ever been blue and fuzzy," Kitty said.

"Mommy's a monster!" Lexi said, happily, like a well-adjusted Fandom kid.

"I'm hoping this is over tonight," Kitty added with a sigh.

Din looked down at the kid and then at Lexi and then just nodded and sighed in acceptance of this insanity. "I'll hope for you as well," he offered.

It was sort of a bittersweet experience seeing kids (and Grogu's) dressed up since it made her think of her own kids, but she was determined to shake that feeling off. She'd just be happy she hadn't had any of the candy yesterday 'cause there'd be a Thanos walking around and no thank you.

"Oh my god everybody looks so cute!"

"So how is Grogu a werewolf?" Kitty asked, because omgggg.

[throughaphase]

"Thanks," said Kitty, wryly.

Lexi meanwhile was holding her bag out for candy.

"Wanda," he said, turning a little like he needed to point out the store because clearly she'd need the help in knowing who the Scarlet Witch was. "Said he needed a costume and seemed better at picking one to fit in on this planet."

"I mean, sorry, but it's still cute!" What? It was.

Lexi was a pretty lucky kid because Wanda had way too much candy on her hands, so she was getting a bunch. "I'm glad you came to a compromise with the dinosaur and the fairy."

Grogu of course toddled on over to show off his awesome werewolf costume. Because just look at that kid.

Also, give him some kriffing candy.

"She did good," Kitty said. "You look great, Grogu."

[throughaphase]

"They're both good," Lexi explained.

"You should have seen us getting the wings on over the dinosaur costume," Kitty said.

Grogu cooed softly and tugged at the fabric of his costume like he needed to show it off a little better.

"I really hope he doesn't try to turn this into his normal clothing." Because toddlers gonna do what toddlers gonna do.

"Oh my god, you are the cutest!" Ugh, she had done a good job picking out the costume, look at that adorable man-eating werewolf.

You were getting all of the candy, Grogu. All of it.

"Especially with how your hands currently are," Wanda said, looking down at them. "Are you...okay? I mean, aside from the obvious. It doesn't hurt or anything, right?"

"He doesn't want to take it off," Din chimed in. And this was a concern for all those future dramatic scenes.

[throughaphase]

"I don't know, having a werewolf around would be really cute," Kitty pointed out.

[throughaphase]

"Nah. I'm just fuzzy and blue," Kitty said, "and also I can't really hold anything so she'd better not get tired of carrying her candy."

Was Stark hoping the islands small supply of children stopped by this evening? Of course. Did he have enough candy for a much larger child population? Yes. Would he be giving out excessive amounts of candy to any children who did show up? Definitely. Was any of the candy leftover from last night's dance? Absolutely not.

He was in luck! Because there was a dinosaur fairy yelling, "Trick or treat!" at his closed door.

Grogu's ears perked up at that and he glanced over at Din like someone here agreed with his plan to never take this off again.

"No, no. Don't even think about it," Din told the kid.

And a very, very terrifying werewolf who was just looking to Lexi for what he was supposed to do here before silently holding up his bag to Stark.

"Well he looks completely adorable so I can see why," she said. "Though it might get smelly after awhile."

[scarlet_chaos]

"Those arms can get kind of flaily from what I've seen." She had seen Beaker plenty of times over the summer. "Good for you for still taking her out despite your current, uh, predicament."
