Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey had come in to find wood scattered over part of the course, due to the woodchucks chucking wood just to see how far they could chuck it. So she was starting today's training off with a stern lecture to them about that. Which was a total normal thing to be able to lecture about.

And then she could put away the snacks she'd brought for when Juliet came by in the palm tree storage lockers. Look, Rey wanted to be liked too.

"Why are you being so slooooooooooooooooow?" Juliet demanded as she burst through the door. "Dad is the worst. Hi!"

"I am not slow, you're just sprinting," Anakin said, following along behind.

"Hi," Rey greeted them, smiling. "You're right on time."

Juliet bounced from one foot to the other with excitement. "Let's go, let's go, let's goooooo."

"She denies it, but I think she got into Rory's coffee," Anakin said.

"This isn't just normal excitement?" Rey asked teasingly.

[sith_happened]

"It's slightly elevated," Anakin said, laughing.

[thatwaslucky]

"I mean, what would there be to be excited about?" Rey asked, feigning innocence.

"THE OBSTACLE COURSE!"

"Inside voice, Juliet," Anakin said, wincing.

[thatwaslucky]

"That was how I felt the first time I saw it," Rey admitted.

[sith_happened]

"Really?" Anakin asked, grinning. "I don't remember it being so loud."

[thatwaslucky]

"Maybe I wasn't as excited," Rey lied.

[sith_happened]

Anakin snickered. "Or as loud."

[thatwaslucky]

"How close have you been able to get to the course so far, Juliet?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"I helped make some of the trees with things in them," she said, shooting her dad a look.

"She's very good with her hands," Anakin said proudly.

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you for all your help on that," Rey said. "I left some things in those for you."

And then she added, "But maybe those are better left for later."

Course stuff, then snacks.

"A little later," Anakin agreed with a smile. "Okay, Juliet. Do you want to watch Rey go first or tackle it without help?"

Juliet stopped to think about it. "Which would you do?" she asked Rey.

"I would prefer to watch someone else first," Rey said. "If you have time to think about how to handle something, I think it's good to take it."

[sith_happened]

Juliet nodded seriously. "Okay. You can go first."

"Very wise," Anakin said. "I would've just gone."

Shocking no one.

"So would Leia," Rey said dryly. "No remotes this run?"

She also didn't want to freak Juliet out.

[sith_happened]

"Let's see how far you both get without additional distractions," Anakin said with a smile.

[thatwaslucky]

"All right," Rey nodded. "See you both on the other side."

And then she took off to start the course.

Juliet was practically vibrating with excitement as she watched, hands moving along with what Rey was doing as she climbed and jumped and ran.

"I'm ready, I'm ready," she said when Rey was only halfway through.

"Go ahead," Anakin said, laughing.

Rey was making it through a lot faster than usual without anything shooting at her. So she was also probably making this look easier than it was.

Juliet had started off with a lot of un-earned confidence and it was showing as she missed the first big jump that Rey had made.

Anakin caught her in mid-air with the Force and put her back where she'd started. "Again. Jump hard."

These jumps really were old hat for Rey, it was unfair.

But it also meant she got as far as the wall more quickly, where she could at least notice what was happening at the first jump.

Juliet clenched her jaw--looking very much like Anakin in that moment--and then threw herself across, tapping into the Force to do it.

"Much better," Anakin praised. "Listen to the Force as it guides you."
