When Astrid came into the store for her usual managerial tasks that week, she discovered that, after all of her years here on this island and working at Turtle & Canary and with Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, she could still be absolutely floored by him.

"Ummmm...." was sort of all she had to say, when she came in and saw all the decorations around the store, "are we sure this is really, um...appropriate?"

And when Apu defended his actions by explaining what day it was, Astrid was...skeptical. Very skeptical. So skeptical that she, clearly a modern woman of the 21st century now, pulled out her phone to verify.

Then closed her eyes and sighed, turning the phone toward him so that he would believe her.

"Pianist Day, Apu," she said. "Today is World Pianist Day."

Apu squinted at the phone and then, realizing his mistake, looked around sheepishly, because he'd been quite busy that morning, apparently, and then agreed to immediately go take everything down.

"Thank you," said Astrid, who would be discovering just how thorough Apu had been this time around throughout the entire day.
