Now that Summer had returned from defending her galaxy against some evil space empire, Astrid was back on Fridays, although she'd still maintained a few managerial tasks that Summer kept delegated to her, so that she could get more experience with that sort of thing. It might be helpful, once she was pretty much back to 'the real world' for good after graduation, She had no idea what she was going to after that; her one last remaining thread connected to anything (she no longer counted Ingrid among those threads) would be abruptly severed and she'd be set off into the world, like a balloon slipped from a child's grip during a breezy day. She supposed just staying here would always be an option, but there were...a few other possibilities she was considering, as well.

And she was pondering those things a little as she went about her work that day, which mostly involved taking down and marking down Thanksgiving decorations and merchandice, and putting up Christmas ones, failing at making Apu feel better that there wasn't really much of a market here for crazy Black Friday sales, and wondering why dental floss in particular seemed to be a cornerstone of said Black Friday sales.
