To Shunsui, the 'path of least resistence' was practically a way of life, and he was very, very rarely one to not look favorably on the easy way out of something. There were, however, situations where things were just a bit too easy, even for someone such as himself.
Like when he came into the shop thatmorning afternoon to discover a newfound obsessesion on Apu's part with pearl neckaces, apparently.
....not even Shunsui could feel good about taking the bait on that one.
So he was just going to keep his mouth shut and let Apu live his life, and they'll just have to wait and see if he had the fortitude to keep doing so should any customers happen to bring it up.
