Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Today's bad feeling was kind of easy to figure out when your warehouse was right by where the issue was. If there were baddies nearby Rey hadn't sensed them yet, which was why she went to the warehouse to wait for Anakin like normal. It wouldn't surprise her if he was going out to investigate too, and here there was at least a good meetup spot.

And in the meantime she was trying to sweep up the marshmallow snow that had blown in just as a way to get rid of nervous energy.

"We have a new part of the island," Anakin announced with a slight frown as he came in.

"There is. Are you getting the bad feeling too?" Rey asked, setting the broom aside now that she found talk about it.

Anakin nodded, pressing his lips together. "Just in time for Christmas."

[thatwaslucky]

"We did know this was coming, at least," she said. "I figured I would go out and patrol."

"Would you like company?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"That's why I came here instead of canceling," she said with a little smile.

[sith_happened]

Anakin grinned back. "Let's go."

Rey unclipped her lightsaber, just to hold just in case.

"At least we might not have far to go," she joked.

[sith_happened]

"I do love fights that are conveniently located," Anakin agreed.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm not sure that I would call this convenient," she said, leading the way out of the warehouse.

Which she was gonna lock up, yes.

Good call.

"Well, let's see how big they are first," Anakin said. "The last few visitors have been short and annoying."

All that warranted paranoia on Jakku came in handy sometimes.

"Which visitors were these?" she asked.

[sith_happened]

"Raccoons," Anakin said, "and, um, different talking animals."

[thatwaslucky]

Rey frowned and shook her head. "This doesn't feel like them."

And with the door locked up, she asked, "Which way?"

Anakin closed his eyes, searching for unfamiliar beings through the Force. "That way," he said, pointing.

Rey turned to start heading in that direction. "I hate these times."

"Bad feeling?" Anakin guessed sympathetically.

[thatwaslucky]

"That. And I always prefer not to have to her into the fights I know are coming," she said.

Anakin nodded. "It's a good reminder to stay on your toes, though."

[thatwaslucky]

"Times like this I feel like I'm never off of them," she admitted.

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded again. "Adrenaline fatigue," he said. "I'd hit that during longer battles."

[thatwaslucky]

"I didn't know there was a name for that," Rey said, frowning deepening.

[sith_happened]

"I might've just made it up," Anakin admitted, "but it's a real thing. Because we feel more, it exhausts us faster."

"How do you get around that?"

Especially when she could tell there were people nearby that they had to worry about.

[sith_happened]

"That's where the shielding comes in," Anakin said. "Try it now--dial down the bad feeling."
