Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon part two

Today's bad feeling was kind of easy to figure out when your warehouse was right by where the issue was. If there were baddies nearby Rey hadn't sensed them yet, which was why she went to the warehouse to wait for Anakin like normal. It wouldn't surprise her if he was going out to investigate too, and here there was at least a good meetup spot.

And in the meantime she was trying to sweep up the marshmallow snow that had blown in just as a way to get rid of nervous energy.

Which didn't take that long, and when he wasn't showing up, she got her phone out to call before she got too worried.

Anakin answered on the third ring. "Skywalker."

"Are you all right?" Rey asked immediately.

[sith_happened]

"Juliet couldn't get off the island to go to her volleyball class, so I got to hear about that but otherwise, fine," Anakin said. "Rory insisted I had the wrong day?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Are you coming to training?" Rey asked. "I thought we could patrol."

She was going to feel terrible if she should have been out before now and had spent this time waiting.

"I'd love to patrol," Anakin said. "The shooters seem to still be around."

You knew there were shooters, right?

Technically yes? But no.

"The what?"

[sith_happened]

"There's people out shooting at each other," Anakin said. "I don't recognize any of them."

Well, except for the ones who'd shot at them yesterday.

[thatwaslucky]

"How did this not come up first?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"Sorry?" Anakin said, wincing.

[thatwaslucky]

"If you knew there were shooters I don't know how you didn't lead with that," she said.

Since she clearly did not.

Technically.

"I thought you'd noticed," Anakin said. "They're in the warehouse district to the left."

[thatwaslucky]

"I noticed something was wrong," she said, wondering if it was bad that she hadn't noticed more.

Anakin nodded. "Should we go investigate?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Yeah," she said. "It helps that you know where they are somehow."

[sith_happened]

"I remember a few things," Anakin said with a thoughtful frown. "Maybe it'll come back to you later?"

[thatwaslucky]

"...Remember what things?" Rey asked, completely confused.

[sith_happened]

"When we got shot at yesterday?" Anakin said, seeming just as confused.

[thatwaslucky]

"We didn't get shot at yesterday," she said after a long pause.

[sith_happened]

Anakin sighed. "But we did."

[thatwaslucky]

"I don't get shot at that much that I wouldn't remember it," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Maybe you're having some kind of amnesia?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"Do people even get that outside of tv shows?" Rey wondered.

[sith_happened]

"Maybe?" Anakin said, frowning. "Maybe it's that weird weekend where I think I run a diamond mine?" He frowned harder. "But I don't think I run a diamond mine."

[thatwaslucky]

"I have never actually known you to run a diamond mine," Rey told him. "All right, so... It's some kind of weird weekend, but with shooting."

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded. "Exactly!"

[thatwaslucky]

"All right, sure, it's Fandom." Sometimes you had to just roll with it. "I'll wait here for you."

[sith_happened]

"I'll chase them over here, you take their weapons and tie them up," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Okay," she said slowly, still confused but now looking for rope. "See you soon."

With bad guys, apparently.

Anakin grinned and trotted off.
