Town Hall, Friday (Sunday)
The words IT'S SUNDAY were written in white chalk on the blackboard that hung off Town Hall's doors. Just in case anyone needed to be reminded.
Jesse had been busy, ever since figuring out what was going on yesterday. Poking around town, trying to map what little she could see of the new chunk of island across the water...
And now, writing emails.
I'd like to ask anyone with scientific experience or anyone willing to approach the new section of the island at all to gather at Town Hall today. I think it's time for us to find out just exactly what's happening here.
Bring weapons.

But this was Annie's first time loop, so she hadn't counted on how the day resetting to Friday would undo the best laid plans, and she'd just have to deal with Diego doing what Diego had done for the last two days running. At least she'd gotten over her annoyance by the time she got Jesse's email and made her way down to town hall, coffee in hand.
"Yes!" she proclaimed, pointing at the chalkboard with a gloved hand. "Hell yes, it is Sunday!"
It had been a long few days. (Or, really, one long day, over and over again.)

Which Annie had actually brought, and not just in a facetious 'my hands are weapons' way. What was the point of having literal dozens of knives in your home -- in your Christmas tree -- if their owner was currently without the ability to use them? So just in case, Annie had brought a few of Diego's knives, not so much for her own benefit but in case someone else needed a weapon. (And, like, fine, kind of for her benefit. It was comforting, okay? Like a sharp security blanket.)

And even then, she would probably not be helpful with getting info. Subtlety and deduction had not really been a lasting plan yesterday.

She gestured at the machine with all the repackaged (for blandness, of course) food in it. "I think at this point we're mostly waiting for people."

"Not sure how much good this will do," he said, gesturing to his plunder. "They'll all be back where they started again tomorrow. Today? Whatever."
