Fandom Counseling, third Friday

It was nice to have a covered walkway between the house and his office on days with inclement weather. Even if that weather was just marshmallow snow.

Hannibal, who still had no sense at all of deja vu, would be in his office doing paperwork and trolling APA forums unless anybody stopped by. Outside, Joni was chasing marshmallows around and pouncing on them, Beethoven was grooming marshmallows and looking disappointed when they got smaller, and the flamingos were huddling under the porch after a few too many bonks on the head from marshmallows. They looked a little extra disgruntled today, as if asking the sky why it was doing this yet again.

Ah, Fandom.

Hannibal did frown as he listened to radio, though. Was something going on?

Sometime much later in the day, Liz had managed to calm herself down enough to show up to Doctor Lecter’s for her second session in three days only her last session had felt like a lifetime ago …

She barely noticed the marshmallow snow as she did, this time, she knocked and wrapped her arms around her to keep warm … even though it was a different kind of cold numbness that she was feeling.

Liz nodded, “okay, thank you,” she said softly, thankfully she didn’t start crying again.

She numbly took off her shoes and stepped inside, she shivered as she waited.

Liz could only nod as took the towel, trembling as she started to dry herself, “I …” she started to say and then her voice trailed off, “I’m sorry,” she managed to get out, quietly, the tears building up again.

Liz sat down on her chair, she didn't say anything for a while and then, "for losing control," she said softly, letting out a sob.
