The Perk, Wednesday morning
Jon was aware that Jo was at home now, but he'd gotten used to coming here on Wednesdays by now. And after this weekend, he felt good and didn't want to just sit around his flat.
So, he was getting his usual tea and sitting at the window with a book and his phone, watching the people and occasional industrious elf pass by. If he was a bit wistful about not having anyone to spend the holidays with, that was his own affair.

"Hey Jon, been a while," he said with a slight smile and nod and he turned from the counter with a drink in hand. "How've you been?"

It smelled good, and other people seemed to enjoy it, even if it was probably a bit sweet for his tastes.

handwavily since there’s not much canon information on Xelayan cuisine, describe some of the foods and drinks that they had on Xelaya."We do have this desert called Sweetened Gupsela, that I’ve heard is said is similar to ice cream but I think the closest substitute would be yoghurt and you mix it with fruit,” Alara added, “and then there’s Trivalve Suace that my dad says you should not eat before it’s completely boiled, it can be rather delicate” she considered, “I think though what we’re known for back home is our alcoholic drinks, we don’t have livers so I don’t think it was quite realised the impact that some of our beverages would have on non Xelayans,”
