When Summer walked into the store that morning for her usual shift, she was a little thrown off by the fact that there were pillows and blankets and even a few matresses pulled out from where they usually lurked way over in Aisle Handwavey and set up on a display toward the front with a sign touting Festival of Sleep Day, and she gave Apu a worried look, although, truthfully, not one that was a worried as it may have been if this wasn't Apu they were talking about here.
"Did Shunsui put you up to this one?"
Apu pointed out that every day was pretty much Festival of Sleep Day for Shunsui.
And Summer...really could not argue with that logic.
"Does he know about this one?"
For some reason, she felt almost a little bad, if there was a Festival of Sleep Day going on and he didn't know about it. But then Apu pointed out that even if he didn't know about it, it was almost a given that the man would be celebrating it all the same, so perhaps the Festival of Sleep Day was in his heart all along.
To which Summer just looked at Apu for a long moment and shook her head.
"I would say that you've clearly been spending way too much time with him," she said, "but that would suggest that he ever actually showed up for more than a few hours on Wednesday, so...."
With that, she got to work, which included not only her usual tasks, but also the required signage whenever there was a First Week of a Semester going on, and she decided to get ahead of the game this time:
